NATHAN & HAYES; a late Victorian hallmarked silver miniature card box with embossed decoration throughout and containing two sets of miniature playing cards, Chester 1899, height 5.2cm.Additional InformationLid closes tightly. There are a few pitting marks and pin head sized dents. Surface scratches, tarnishing and toning throughout. Hallmark clear and both sections are hallmarked. The playing cards have some fraying to the raised edges.
ROSENTHAL JACOB & CO; a late Victorian hallmarked silver lozenge shaped trinket box inset with a William and Mary 1689 Maundy fourpence coin, London 1889, length 10cm, approx 1.36ozt/42.6g.Additional InformationThe lid has damage to both tips so there are sections missing where it should meet the base. There is heavy wear and misshaping also to the base with the end sections curled over. Numerous dents throughout to both the body, cap and base and overall in tired condition.
A Continental silver pill box in the form of a woven basket, import marks to base, diameter 4.4cm, also a silver topped glass scent phial (2).Additional InformationVery badly damaged cap to the scent phial, staining to the interior and chips to the glass, the basket has some tarnishing and toning but otherwise okay.

A small rectangular silver dressing table box, Birmingham 1900, maker Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. Length 9.5 cm, 40 grams. CONDITION REPORT: When held up to the light there are five very small rubbed holes in the top. These are barely visible when the box is closed. The hinge operates as it should and the remainder of the body is in good order.
A Movado Chronometer Ermeto, silver, in shagreen sliding case, with original box marked "Ermeto, Asprey, London", London import mark for 1927. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and is currently ticking away. The time can be set in the usual manner. We do not think that the watch winds by opening and closing the cover. The serial number is 195245 and the import letter M is visible. Case width when closed 50 mm, height 35 mm. Maximum depth +/- 14 mm. The shagreen case covering has shrunk at the seams and there is slight movement and small losses. One section of case cover (rear right) is loose.
A Victorian coromandel dressing table box with silver mounted fittings, with London hallmarks for 1860, Silversmiths Pittway Bros. (John and William), with flush front jewellery drawer and side drawer. There is a mirror recessed into the lid with stationery compartment behind. Width 31 cm, depth 23 cm, height 19 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The box is in extremely good condition. The coromandel is well figured and the veneers are in good condition all round with no significant fractures and no losses. The top shuts flush. The hinges are in very good order with no damage surrounding. Both drawers spring open as they should. The lock is present but we have no key. It is however unlocked and the lock is not self-locking. All silver topped jars are present and none are inscribed. the large rectangular vessel is in good order with no issues. The smaller rectangular box has one very minor corner chip and several very minor almost insignificant edge nibbles. The two small cylindrical jars are both in good order with no chips. The centre scent bottle has a crack running from the top threaded section all down one side. There is no movement and no loss. The same jar has some very minor edge nibbles. The right hand flanking cylindrical jar is in good order with no issues. The left hand one has several small bottom edge nibbles and two under edge small chips. The left hand scent bottle is complete with stopper and has no issues. The right hand scent bottle also has the stopper. The threaded neck rim has an upper edge chip which is completely covered by the lid. The accessories seem to be original as they fit the apertures. The button hook is slightly too long and the right hand side compartment with the larger scissors has one item missing.
A quantity of various brass, copper and mixed small collectibles including tankards, candlestick, vases, tobacco jar, eye baths, tin of British dominoes, wood trinket dish made from HMS Valianto, head torch, Japanese wood coasters, silver plated napkin rings and butter dish, fountain pens, presentation box of cut throat razors, binoculars, etc.
A small mixed lot of silver to include a loaded spill vase, marks rubbed, a silver jewellery casket with hinged lid with embossed decoration of a courting couple within a foliate border and inscribed to the front 'CEI', marks rubbed, a silver pierced spoon, a small lozenge-shaped pierced bonbon dish and a further small bowl with gadrooned decoration, various hallmarked, mostly rubbed, combined approx 11.3ozt (5). CONDITION REPORT The trumpet vase is dented and misshapen, the embossed decoration to the box is heavily rubbed. Other signs of use including surface scratches throughout.
