A 50-bore flintlock Queen Anne pocket pistol by Richards, 3inch three-stage turn-off barrel, border and scroll engraved action signed RICHARDS, bag-shaped swollen wooden butt inlaid with scrolling silver wire, white metal grotesque mask butt cap. See pages 71 to 73 and Fig. 104 of The Queen Anne Pistol 1660-1780 by J. W. Burgoyne for a discussion on a butt cap of this design on a pair of pistols by Stanton, dated 1780. Good quality Victorian brass inlaid coromandel toilet box with fitted interior - complete with twelve silver mounted cut glass bottles and jars (hallmarked London 1845), with concealed jewel drawer below, 30.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT Brass stringing to front slightly detached, slight loss/damage to veneer at right hand edge of flush drawer, elsewhere slight wear to case. Interior- crack to one glass jar at shoulder, tray below glass fittings is missing otherwise some general wear to interior / fittings
