The box clasp is stamped '925' and in our opinion would test as silver, the tongue is stamped 'METAL' and in our opinion would test as metal. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. It fastens with a circular box and tongue clasp. The clasp is stamped '925' and in our opinion would test as silver. The pearls measure 9.70mm-10.20mm in diameter approximately. The pearls with some surface blemishes. The ruby beads measure 3.90mm-6.40mm in diameter approximately. Gross weight 69.8 grams. Condition Report made April 2017.

It is stamped '925S', 'STERLING', 'NORWAY' with maker's mark for Ivor T. Holth, in our opinion it would test as silver gilt. The gilt is worn. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. A Russian Silver and Cloisonné Enamel Cigarette Case, Assayer's mark for Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin, Moscow 1896-1908, maker's mark indistinct probably CM? (cyrillic), decorated with scrolling foliage in polychrome enamels, on a pale blue ground, within bead borders, the front with a circular reserve featuring a monogram, gilt interior 10.5cm wide, 5oz 16dwtMany small chips to the enamel in places, particularly on the borders and corners near the hinge. One corner with four border reserves missing enamel entirely. One elasticated strap from the interior detached. Box closes well and catch is working properly.
