EDWIN JONES; a William IV hallmarked silver rectangular snuff box with engine turned decorated base and hinged lid centred with an initialled cartouche, with ribbed sides and cast thumb piece, Birmingham 1835, with engraved dedication to underneath of the lid dated 1851, 7 x 3.5cm, approx 1.5ozt.Additional InformationAreas of rubbing to the engine turned decoration mainly along the edges and areas of corners, the lid does not sit correctly, it springs up and there is an approximately 1mm gap between where the lid overlaps the base, also two edges of the lid are slightly misshapen and one corner has a dint, numerous tiny dints to edges and sides visible after closer examination, two small splits, rubbing to the corners, areas of tarnish mainly to the inside and the upper rim of the base.

A late 19th century Dutch silver rectangular trinket box overall embossed with various figural scenes to include hunting and cherubic scenes, bearing pseudo 18th century marks to base and import marks for Berthold Muller, London 1900, length 14.5cm, approx 6.7ozt.Additional InformationSurface wear such as rubbing and areas of scratches commensurate with age and usage, a crudely soldered seam to one side of the front and to the back, the inside rim of the main body is a bit bent along the hinge, the bolt of the hinge is pushed out to one side and bent therefore it cannot be pushed back, residues of cleaning products, the base appears to be a bit out of rectangular shape and tapering towards one side and it seems to be a manufacturing imperfection.
