A Bird's Eye Maple Case Travelling Liqueur Set, mid 19th century, of rectangular form, the hinged top inscribed Liqueurs, enclosing four silver plate mounted decanters and stoppers and twelve glass in a lift-out tray with central spade handle, 30cm wide. Split across top of box. Other fading, scratching, wear and minor splitting to box. Handle of lift-out tray slightly loose, brass stay mechanism for the tray operational. Contents and box possibly matched. Two glasses matched, those two with chips, the other good. 30cm by 29cm by 25.5cm

Box in restored condition. Some bottles and manicure set possibly not original to the set.

A Victorian Silver-Gilt Mounted Glass Scent-Bottle cum Vinaigrette and Pill-Box, by William Thomas Wright and Frederick Davies, London, 1867, Retailed by F. & S. Schaffer, 27 Piccadilly, the circular glass body with a hinged silver-gilt cover on each side, one opens to reveal a compartment for pills, the other a pierced grille for the vinaigrette, with a further hinged cover for the scent-bottle, 8.4cm high. Fully marked inside vinaigrette and pill box. Further part marked inside lids of both. Retailers name stamped inside all three covers. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the gilding. There are some bruises to the cover.

A Victorian Silver Scent-Bottle cum Pill-Box, by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings Shepherd, Chester, 1892, Design Registration Number 94521, circular, the front with hinged compartment for pills, the inside of the cover with a mirror, with hinged cap, 7cm high. Fully marked on back. Further part marked on front and on hinged cover. The back further stamped with design registration number. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some shallow bruises to the base. The cover opens to reveal a glass stopper. The inside of the compartment gilded. Total gross weight 44.4gr.
