A silver cigarette box and cigarette case with WW1 7th Gurkha Rifles provenance, the box by Colin Hewer Cheshire, Chester 1911, rectangular form, the lightly domed lid with reeds engraved to bottom left, engraved inscription reading 'To Bunt, Long may your gun seek, from G, 19...(?)', 5½ x 3¾ x 2in. (14 x 9.6 x 5.1cm.); the case by James Deakin & Sons, Birmingham 1915, rectangular form, 7th Gurkha Rifles crest to front with engraved 'A.S.M. 3-11-17' to upper left (for Lt. Col. A. S. Mackay), reverse with a spray of reeds to lower left and Mackay family crest to upper right, 4¼ x 3½in. (10.8 x 8.9cm.); together with a small leather case with 'A.P.S. Mackay' lettering to lid; a black leather wallet with gilt tooled inscription 'A.S. Mackay 7th Gurkha Rifles'; and a small circular horn lidded box with silver roundel engraved 'A.P.S.M. 28.5.34'.
