A 20 bore flintlock travelling pistol, c 1820, 11” overall, octagonal barrel 5¾” with silver line at breech and B’ham proofs, flat stepped lock with fern tip engraving, ‘pigeon breasted’ cock and roller on frizzen spring, the plate signed ‘H. Nock’, fullstocked with finely chequered rounded butt, rectangular escutcheon, steel mounts, and replacement ramrod. GWO & basically GC (mounts lightly pitted, 2½” of fore end well replaced, some bruising to butt); in a fitted wooden box with brass carrying handle and key (lock AF). Pistol only Plate 19 .
