A St.Cloud silver-mounted snuff box and cover: in the form of a reclining shepherd, his head resting on his right hand, his dog and crook lying below, the mound base and cover enamelled with floral sprays in the Kakiemon manner, circa 1740, the mounts with indistinct Paris discharge mark for 1744, 7.5cm.
A pink stone and seed pearl ring, in yellow metal marked 10c, size L1/2; a swivel fob with bloodstone and another simulated stone, in unmarked yellow metal; a yellow metal ball charm, attached to a 9 carat yellow gold lobster claw clasp; a yellow metal tie pin with untested pinkish-red stone, marked 9ct, in fitted case; a white metal pocket watch, with Swiss hallmarks; and other silver and base metal cufflinks, badges etc; all in a small jewellery box.
Contempoary silver cigarette box of rectangular form, with engine turned decoration (Sheffield 1950) Walker and Hall. 18cm across.General overall condition very good, some minor surface scratching and marks, small dent to top right of front lower panel and another near left edge of cover. Cover closes fully and is a tight fit, hinge is stiff. Interior is good, some tobacco residue inside corners of cover above hinge that may have marked the gilding, inside of cover has some minor marking. Underside of base is scratched. Hallmarks very good. Photographs to follow.
Fine quality Victorian ladies brass bound Coromandel dressing-case by Jenner & Knewstub, 33 St James St, London, with hinged cover, containing a silver mounted mirror and wallet, opening to reveal an upper tray containing a silver mounted combined vinaigrette and perfume bottle, and thirteen hallmarked silver topped, cut glass bottles and jars (predominately London 1889), various makers over-stamped Frederick Jenner and Fabian Knewstub and all with engraved squirrel and peacock crests and motto “Ne Tentis Aut Perfice”, over a monogram H.F.P. The fall front containing an extensive fitted set of manicure, sewing and other items (21 items plus 3 missing). The fall front also reveals two concealed drawers, one containing an ivory mounted brush set, with matching crests and monogram, and the other, a jewellery drawer, with an ivory letter opener, a pair of ivory glove stretchers and a packet of three French horsehair hairnets. The dressing case is contained in its original leather travelling case embossed with initials HFP. 40cm across. Dressing case key lacking.NB: Formerly the property of Lady Helen Faudel - Phillips, wife of Sir George Faudel - Phillips, of Balls Park, Hertford, Lord Mayor of London 1896-97.General overall condition of box is very good, some surface marks and scratching to woodwork commensurate with age and use, border veneers have some tiny cracks, brass work is marked in places and lacquering worn, front external lower brass inlay is loose but in place, lower drawer does not fasten correctly.Silver is in very good condition, some minor surface wear and scratching, top left toilet jar cover has a small dent, all four small circular covers have a small ding to the rims in approximately the same place on each one, all other silver covers are undamaged. Mirror is in good condition. Hallmarks are good. Silver items in tray are in good condition. Silver plated items have minor surface marking in places.Glassware is generally good with traces of residue from previous contents, one of the larger rectangular glass boxes has a chip to one corner of the rim and top of one screw top jar is also chipped, otherwise no other damage or cracks. Photographs to follow.Outer leather case is in generally good condition, some minor wear and scuffing.
Silver and ebony pointer dated 1663, with arms of Prince Bishop of Liège. 35cm overall length.Provenance: To be sold by direction of the Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre. Listed in their 1662 benefactors book: 'By Mr James Hodge Cannon of St Paul's, a round silver box for the Blessed Sacrament and a silver hand to point in the Missill by the Chapplin'Condition report: General overall condition very good, some denting and surface scratching, heel shield with engraved arms is sightly distorted.
Large 1920s silver cigar box of plain rectangular form, with cedar lining (London 1921) Charles & Richard Comyns. 22.7cm across.Condition report: General overall condtion good, some surface wear, scratching and minor dents, surface is tarnished and there is a mark in the silver to the left of the thumb piece but it does not appear to be corrosion, front left and rear right corners of lid have been knocked, left side panel has a visible dent near the base and on back left corner of back panel. Hinge is very slightly distorted and lid does not sit totally square. Marks slightly rubbed. Interior is good.

1970s gentlemen's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Superlative Chronometer stainless steel wristwatch, model 1500, serial number 1766434, the circular brushed silver dial with date, applied steel baton hour markers and centre seconds in stainless steel oyster case, 34mm, on Rolex stainless steel oyster bracelet.The watch is currently running, the hands and date adjust correctly. The crown screws down tightly. The watch probably dates from the late 1960s. Any service history or replacement parts are unknown. The dial is clean and the plastic glass is in good condition. A PRESENTATION CIGAR BOX MADE FROM OAK FROM THE R.Y. VICTORIA & ALBERT II, 1884the hinged glass lid with silver plate inscribed Wood of RY / Victoria & Albert, / Octr. 14th 1884, removable dividers forming three 7½ x 4¼in. compartments over two drawers in base with pin securing lock and bun feet – 8½ x 15 x 10in. (21.5 x 38 x 25.5cm.)This box must have been presented to Capt. Frank Tourle Thomson R.N. (1829-1884), a veteran of the Challenger Expedition 1873-76 and who served as captain of the royal yacht from 1877 until 14th October 1884. Presumably, he stepped down through ill health as he died just a month after receiving this gift.

PLAYER & SON, COVENTRY, CIRCA 1887with 1¾in. enamel dial with broad arrow mark, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel hands, contained in silver case hallmarked for London 1887 with rear key wind, hinged front glass and dial to gilt brass mounted fusee movement with dust cover, signed as per title and numbered '25454' with broad arrow mark, detached lever escapement with bi-metallic balance, contained in a fitted two-tier box with Greenwich issue label dated 8th August 1918 and inset ivory label to lid with makers name, number and broad arrow mark -- 2½ x 3½ x 4½in. (6.5 x 9 x 11.5cm.)Running well at the time of cataloguing.
