A 19th century Russian silver 'trompe L'oeuil' snuff box, by Karl Veyrlen, Moscow circa 1880, rectangular form, modelled as a suitcase, with belted straps and engine-turned decoration, the cover with an oval cartouche engraved with a pointer dog facing left, the base engraved with a crest, length 10cm, approx. weight 4.8oz.

An early 19th century jewel-set, hard stone and gold box unmarked, oval form, the cover set with a reeded panel of amber-coloured agate set with cabochon gems including a opal, moonstone and nephrite, with trailing leaf frame applied with flower heads in silver and rose gold, the gold sides finely chased with panels of foliage below a band of stiff leaves, the underside chased with a spray of flowers on a matted ground within a stiff leaf border, length 5cm.

A Mennecy silver-mounted snuff box, c.1750, the mount with a later Dutch tax mark, modelled as a dog and her puppy recumbent on an oval grassy base, the pup nestling into its mother's side, their coats decorated with splashes in shades of brown, the flat base with an incised basket weave design, painted with European flowers in a traditional muted palette, impressed control marks to the later silver mounts, 6.7cm.
