A George V silver table cigarette box, having twin hinged compartments, one with engraved armorial and centre carry handle, makers mark worn, London 1911, w.22.5cm. One small dent to both side panels, only noticeable at certain angles.Hinges good and lids close well.Stands well.Polish wear to hallmarks.
An Edwardian silver snuff-box, of oval form, engraved with three-leaf clovers and inlaid with green hardstones, 77g, maker William J Holmes, Birmingham 1903, 9.8cm. No splits or repairs.Several minor dents to side.Some light scratches to green hardstones.Minor bend to top, but hinge is good and closes well.Generally good with modest age/handling wear only.
A 19th century silver French 'Boulle' work serpentine work box, in 18th century style, the exterior with gilt metal mounts and inlaid with foliate scroll mounts and mother of pearl against an ebonised ground, the lid enclosing an elaborate white metal interior with seven lidded compartments with filigree finials, a cartouche shaped raised detailing to the front in a different white metal, the underside of the lid inset with a mirror with embossed scroll frame, carved ivory 'M' monogram to the top and an Italian Micromosaic plaque of St Peters Rome, (alterations / additions), 16.5cm high x 38.5cm wide x 25cm deep CONDITION REPORT: Case - Wear to the ebonised finish. Central brass cartouche lifting and would need attention. Some losses to the mother of pearl inlay, back left brass foot detached, but is present. Interior - appears to be relatively complete, silver finish worn through on compartment lids, silvering to the mirror has perished in places. Small key present but doesn't appear to fit the lock or movement. There are no other keys present. General surface scratching and wear commensurate with age. Trevanion & Dean does not ship items containing ivory or tortoiseshell outside the EU. The government have proposed legislation to create a UK law to ban the sale of all ivory which sources suggest will come into effect between July and October 2019. Please note, this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future.
An Igor Carl Faberge Imperial clock, the table clock of egg form enclosing a roman numeral dial and mounted with gilt metal floral sprays with hard stone blooms, raised on a spreading gilt metal base supported by a sodalite faceted plinth, the underside signed 'Igor Carl Faberge' 'FM 81', 22cm high, with key, within a fitted box further enclosing a silver gilt plique a jour butterfly brooch, 3.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Appears to be in good overall condition, some minor tarnishing to the gilt metal, otherwise appears to be in good order. Brooch is in good order.
'The Princess Grace Royal Anniversary Rose' designed by Igor Carl Faberge, No. 270/750, the silver gilt rose bloom with green enamelled leaf detail and imitation pearl lily of the valley sprays with central flower head opening to reveal a pin cushion, all raised on a retangular green marble base, the underside signed 'Igor Carl Faberge' and dated '1981 FM', hallmarked for Franklin Mint, Import mark, circa 1981, 18cm wide, within fitted box CONDITION REPORT: Overall in very good condition, no obvious sign of any damage. This piece was originally supposed to have a brooch with it we believe - there is no brooch present with this piece.
