An early 20th century German hunting dagger, the stag horn handle having three applied brass acorns, all brass fittings, reversed deer slot quillons with shell guard, the blade etched with cannons, swords, drums etc. amongst foliate scrollwork, the ricasso stamped `W.K.C.` below knights helmet, complete with scabbard, blade length 39cm.

Along with a cased set of silver miniature tankards of tapering cylindrical form with loop handles and glass bases, made in Calcutta, India and retailed by Cooke and Kelvey Ltd; early 20th century.

Made by Hawkes & Co., London and with original fitting including gilt North Irish Division Royal Artillery helmet plate. In original case with owner`s name plate Captain Atkin Antrim Artillery". The owner Walton Thomas Roberts Atkin was commissioned Sub-Lieutenant in 1874, Lieutenant in 1875, Captain in 1877 and Major in 1881. Extremely scarce. P

With original fittings including Royal Irish Regiment gilt metal officer`s helmet plate. Original paper label internally giving owner`s details and date 7 February 1913. Complete with jappaned tin case with corresponding owner`s name C. B. Gibbons Esq. Royal Irish Regt." Second Lieutenant Charles Barry Gibbons of the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Regiment was killed in action on 24 August 1914 during the opening exchanges of the First World War. He was the son of Lt. Col. James Barry Gibbons and Aimee Annie Gibbons, of London. P
