Bayonet: An interesting Yataghan bladed brass hilted bayonet in the style of the 1866 Chasspot Sabre bayonet. The ricasso is stamped with the Knights helmet logo of W.R. KIRSCHBAUM & CIE. This logo would date the bayonet between 1862- 1883. The pommel is stamped 'V over C.P.A.' (Volunteers Cinque Ports Artillery). In a blued steel Chasspot scabbard marked 'T.7600'. In good condition overall. *Note the pattern 1853 Artillery sword bayonet carried the V-CPA mark.
