Murray Walker's personal motor-cycle helmet by Premier, a full-face design in metallic gold on black with five gold stars, a BMW sticker at the back, full lining and strap but lacking visor, some chips to the gel coat, good condition, with a Murray Walker signed letter; sold with four baseball caps: two IOM TT races, one Honda Goldwing and one Rizla Suzuki (5) Murray Walker was given this helmet by multiple British motorcycle World Champion Phil Read who owned the Premier helmet company. It was worn by him for thousands of miles, including many on the fabled Isle of Man TT course, whilst riding his two BMW bikes, for which company he personally applied the logo to the back of the helmet, being an "out and out" enthusiast for the marque.
Val Musetti 1980s raceworn AGV helmet and CAN-AM racesuit, a red and white AGV full-face helmet design, initials VM set on a small Italian flag, his name on both sides, FISA and Spa stickers, RAC/ACU approved, made 1984, lining support foam perished, with visor and helmet bag; a white 'Formula One' Nomex racesuit with red chest band, his name and blood group alongside Lola and SCCA logo patches, also Budweiser CAN-AM, Champion, Goodyear epaulettes, plus an FIA approval patch; together with a pair of red and white Westover driving boots, Nomex driving gloves and balaclava, all held in a 'Formula One' red and black hold-all bag with Air Canada luggage labels still attached (qty.) Val Musetti raced sportscars in the 1980s and competed in the North American 'CAN-AM' series.
2012 Jorge Lorenzo Qatar Grand Prix worn helmet by Nolan, the X-lite X-802 ventilated race helmet with clear visor, the 'round the outside' white halo and central red cross design on top, with two gold stars and bearing Rockstar Energy Drink logos, his red-winged Spartan helmet motif on the back, complete with removable lining, the helmet strap bearing a stitched label marked (E3) 052521/P - 022741, with its original helmet bag Jorge Lorenzo wore a slightly different helmet in the opening 2012 MotoGP race in Qatar, where he took pole position and won. The design was then changed and for the rest of the season featured a white trim surround to its base, rather than the original black one used there. It was later presented to a member of the Yamaha team.
2003 Casey Stoner 125cc GP race worn and crashed helmet, the Nolan N93 ventilated race helmet with darkened visor and full lining, a red, blue and gold design based upon the Australian flag, a Stoner kangaroo motif on the back, the top left side gel coat chipped with accident damage, also losses to the rear polymer trim surround base, unassociated helmet bag In 2003 Casey Stoner moved to the 125cc GP category with Lucio Cecchinello and Aprilia. Improving all season, he took three seconds before winning his first Grand Prix at the season finale in Valencia. This helmet was later acquired from a member of the LCR team.
Valentino Musetti 1970s raceworn Bell helmet and Formula 1 racesuit, the white Bell helmet with horizontal red band as worn in the 1979 Formula 1 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch, 1975 Snell No.A266974, clear visor, matching red Nomex helmet skirt and balaclava, radio intercom and life support connector, lining support foam perished; a Nomex racesuit by 'Formula One' of Carnaby Street bearing his name and blood group embroidered to the right breast, red with double white stripes and elasticated cuffs, Champion, 'Formula One', Goodyear and Nomex logo patches; also a pair of red Westover driving boots, red and white Nomex gauntlet gloves and vest, sold with a 1979 F1 Race of Champions programme bearing his ink signature on the front cover (qty.) In the 1970s Valentino Musetti was well known to spectators as the driver who did the stunts in the film 'The Italian Job', the original version starring Michael Caine. Although such stunt work paid for his motor racing, the occupation had one drawback as filming schedules regularly disrupted any chances he had of winning championships. Nevertheless he progressed to the British Formula 1 series and competed against the stars of the day in the 1979 non-championship F1 'Race of Champions'. He worked as Christopher Reeve's stunt double in Superman I & II and appeared in many Hollywood epics such as Batman, Indiana Jones, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, not to mention various James Bond films. His TV work included popular series like The Avengers, Dr Who, The Professionals, Poirot and Midsomer Murders. Occasionally credited as an actor, he also made Road Safety commercials.
