Antiquities from the Axel Guttmann Collection and Other Properties; Hermann Historica, Munich, 18 April 2008, lot 317.The Pseudo-Corinthian helmet was developed in Italy during the 6th-early 4th Centuries B.C., using the Corinthian helmet as a model. The above helmet would be considered a Type B helmet as there is a small bridge connecting the cheek pieces. For a similar helmet see the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, acc. no. 2003.407.4. See also A. Bottini et al., Antike Helme.
