A good Prussian Garde Cuirassier Reservist officer’s helmet, with gilt steel skull, silver rim, gilt domed rivet heads, nickel plated spike base and pierced spike holder, and fluted gilt spike, stamped on the inside of the crown “C.E. Juncker”, the helmet plate consisting of a plain silver star without the entwined motto scroll, the centre with painted “enamel”, top point mounted with a small gilt Landwehr cross, with gilt chinscales, large national and state rosettes, pale green silk lining with leather sweat band, leather lining to the peak and black velvet lining to the “lobster tail”. Good Condition (some wear to the gilt finish) Plate 26
A Hanoverian cavalry officer’s gilt helmet, c 1825, the skull with applied acanthus leaves to the back, the front peak with broad binding to rim, plain tall comb with black hair crest (detached), rayed helmet plate embossed with crowned Hanoverian arms in motto strap, with supporters and surmounted by a crown, and scroll on either side “Peninsula” and “Waterloo”, and at the top 2 further scrolls “Garzia” and “Hernandes”, right side chinscales and ear rosette of star in circle (left side missing). A late 19th century American helmet of the 1st North Beach V.S. Fire Dept. New York, of stout leather construction, the brim and broad neck guard with embossed scroll border, panelled sides with reinforcing ribs, brass eagle top, shaped rising front panel bearing applied white letters “North Beach”, large 1 on crossed ladders and fireman’s hook, and initials “VSFDNY”, soft leather lining. A Third Reich photograph album, containing approx 120 photographs (some loose), mostly family, rural scenes, seaside, and farming with horses, and also RAD groups and informal army on manouvres (?); also 2 empty photograph albums with padded leather covers, each bearing metal eagle and swastika, one with 1939 Iron Cross, the other with rifle and helmet. GC (slight wear to the latter). (3)

QGC (minor dents to skull, helmet plate reaffixed, eagle crest and lining detached, eagle’s crown damaged). Plate 4

An early 19th century continental officer’s dress sword, straight fullered blade 33” by “S & K” etched with trophies and florets and blued and gilt for one third length, gilt hilt with offset turn down, border line engraved shell guard, crossguard, facetted knucklebow, stylized plumed helmet pommel and finely copper wirebound grip.
