"The Golden Helmet" rare silver and enamel Speedway Trophy, 1928, modelled as a speedway helmet and competed for on 19 occasions, Birmingham, 1928, makers mark rubbed, the trophy surmounted by a figure of an eagle and with enamel union flag plaque inscribed with motto NULL SECUNDUS the base inscribed Presented by THE BRITISH DIRT TRACK RACING ASSOCIATION and decorated with laurel wreath decoration, the reverse inscribed with past winners and dates from June 16th 1928 to October 8th 1929, with original leather interior and strap, with a complete set of fifty "Dirt Track Riders" cigarette cards by JA Pattreiouex Ltd, the cards depicting many of the winning riders of this trophy       The trophy was designed to be competed for at White City Stadium which it was from June to October 1928. Art Deco in design, it is a superb and highly unusual piece.

This is the Valentino Rossi Icon helmet, a design that he wore for the 2002 Mugello GP as a tribute to his father and all things Italian. Valentino added a few extra touched to his version of his father’s design and added a number of icons around the base of the helmet that featured a symbol of the things that Valentino held dear or things that were important aspects of Italian life, they included pizza, sun, the sea. Rossi’s race number ’46’ appears at the top sides of the helmet and the rear has a cartoon depicting Valentino’s dog and cat.
