WW1 Royal Flying Corps Private Purchase Leather Flying Helmet, fine example of a privately tailored soft brown leather flight helmet with fold down peak and neck flap. Thick brown leather chinstrap with press studs fittings. Rolled ear cups with press buttons. Blanket lining to the interior with small tailors label to the interior for Henry A Murton Ltd Newcastle On Tyne. Some scuffing to the leather but generally still good condition.
Early Lewis Style Black Leather Flight Helmet with Gosport Tubes, fine black leather early flying helmet fitted with gosport tubes. Long black leather chinstrap. Interior chamois lining having Tress & Co London tailors label. Some scuffing but otherwise a good example. Style worn by ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) pilots during WW2.
Pre-WW2 D Lewis Pattern Flying Helmet with Gosport Tubes, white cotton flight helmet which is fitted with the original gosport tubes. Interior lining with D Lewis Ltd label. Chinstrap and buckle fitting. Some staining and wear but generally a good example. Often used by RAF pilots when training, especially early Battle of Britain pilots.
1920’s / 1930’s American Flying Helmet by Gordon Aerotogs, soft light tan / brown leather flight helmet with press studs and brass mesh vent behind rolled ear flaps. Goggles strap to the rear of the helmet. Interior with chamois lining and having manufacturers details printed. Generally good condition. Charles A Lindbergh was known to have worn flight suits and clothing by Artotogs, with one of his suits at the Smithsonian museum being by this maker.
1970’s British Parachute Instructors Helmet, hard shell red finished helmet with set of Airborne jump goggles attached. 1971 dated stores label to the interior. Complete with liner and chinstrap and housed in the original green carry bag. Accompanied by a original green canvas carry bag for a modern aircrew helmet with some spare parts to the bottom.

The helmet with leather strap for the attachment of flight goggles and chamois lining to the interior. Complete with thick chinstrap. Some light wear, but generally a good example.
WW2 Royal Air Force Early Pattern D-Type Flying Helmet, as worn by RAF aircrew in North Africa, Middle East and Far East. Helmet being an early type with the headphone ear cups being stitched to the outside of the helmet. White cloth lining to the interior with the original tailors label of B Kapianek & Co Calcutta.
