A very fine and rare silver plated example, crowned star back plate with laurel and Garter overlay, in the centre on a ground of black velvet, a shield bearing the Arms of the Island, at the bottom, a cursive scroll, 'First Royal Guernsey', three loop fasteners. 1939 Mk I Brodie Helmet in Military grey, size 7.5”. Worn by the owner at Dunkirk.Owned by a Royal Army Medical Corps officer C. E. Stuart, who was at Dunkirk and was on one of the ships that was hit by dive bombers and he & his friend was blown off the deck and had to swim back to the beach.
