Interesting group of items related to William Hayes (1807 - 1879) of Halesowen, Worcestershire. He served with the Worcestershire Volunteer Rifles. Included in the lot is a regimentally marked Enfield socket bayonet stamped V.Wc. 6.36., a Victorian Worcestershire Rifles Helmet plate, silver dress whistle, another dress whistle, regimental badge, framed photograph of the Rifles including Hayes and both his and his daughter's passports. A very interesting group, offered by family decent.

A GERMAN PATTERN M35 STEEL HELMET, of typical form with a 'press-stoff' M31 liner and leather chinstrap, the neck-guard of helmet named in paint 'K MULLER' and with obscured stamped number (possibly '5826'), the outer shell dipped and finished in textured sand (possibly Afrika Korps) and possibly obscuring decals.
