Renaissance style Cabasset or Morion helmet, two piece construction with turned over brim border decorated with ornamental brass rivets, 25cm high Condition report: Two small cracks to the edges, possibly from production, several holes to the rim. Dark overall patina that has some scuffs but no major damages.
A rare mid 18th century Battersea enamel wine label, circa 1755, escutcheon form, with a monochrome scene of two cherubs in front of rows of tents, one holding a helmet, the other holding a banner titled 'CLARET', length 6.8cm. For a similar label see: Salter, J., Wine Labels, 1730-2003, Antique Collector's Club in association with the Wine Label Circle, 2004, page 294, fig. 991.
Scarce Post 1902 Army Veterinary Corps Officers Home Service Helmet, good example of the blue cloth covered cork home service pattern helmet with brass and enamel Kings crown helmet plate to the centre, leather backed linked chinstrap, gilt brass rosettes to the side and cross base with ball top. Leather and silk sweatband to the interior of the helmet. William Anderson & Sons makers leather patch to the top of the interior. Very good overall example of an unusual helmet.
Post 1902 2nd East Yorks Royal Garrison Artillery Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet, superb example of the blue cloth covered cork home service pattern helmet complete with its frosted silver officers Kings crown helmet plate, leather backed white metal linked chin chains, silvered rosette side bosses, cross base with rosettes and ball top. Helmet is complete with the original leather sweatband to the interior. Paper label to the inside with pencilled name “Captn Moss Blundell”. The helmet remains in excellent condition with much of the frosted silver finish to the fittings. London Gazette 25th September 1908 states “Captain Frederick Blundell Moss-Blundell, from the 2nd East Riding of Yorkshire Royal Garrison Artillery (Volunteers) to be Major. Dated 1st April, 1908”.
WW2 British Scots Guards Regimentally Marked Steel Combat Helmet, very good example of a British steel combat helmet with the original painted regimental diced rectangular insignia of the Scots Guards to each side. Helmet is complete with its original liner which is dated 1939 and its webbing chinstrap. Much of the rough textured paint finish remains to the exterior of the shell.
WW2 British Civil Defence Factory Workers Steel Helmet, interesting example retaining the black paint finish to the exterior, the front has decal of white circle with red lettering “PBM” to the centre and a black band around the rim. Helmet retains its original 1939 dated liner and webbing chinstrap. Some surface rusting to the exterior but otherwise good Home Front steel helmet.
WW2 Soviet Russian Battle Damaged Steel Helmet Shell, being a Sh-39 pattern retaining much of its original paint finish to the exterior, including the red Soviet Star with hammer and sickle to the centre. The shell has been crushed out of shape and has impact cracks to the side and rear. Retains the metal liner band to the inside. Good untouched example.
Imperial German Prussian Garde M15 Pickelhaube, leather shell with grey mount fittings. Large Prussian garde pattern helmet plate to the centre with white metal starburst centre. Removable grey metal spike. Grey metal rear spine and front trim. Helmet retains the original state and national cockades and original leather chinstrap. Helmet appears to have been an official wartime replacement example with holes for another plate originally being present, this was very common practice towards the end of production of the pickelhaubes. Helmet is complete with the original leather liner. A good untouched example. Re-Offered due to non paying internet bidder

German Fire Officials Dress Dagger, pre-Third Reich period example having black leather grip retaining its wire binding, steeped steel pommel, cross guard with central crossed axes and fire helmet. Double edged blade with central ridge. The blade is etched with foliage and Fire Brigade motifs to the central panels of both sides. Early Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base of the blade. No scabbard.
Very Rare Early Waffen-SS Double Decal M-34 Parade Style Helmet, untouched as found example retaining approximately 80% of the original green paint finish to the exterior shell. Some areas of surface rusting to the top and lower ridge of the shell. The helmet has original Waffen-SS decal applied to the side and the party decal shield to the other side. Helmet has its original M-34 pattern leather liner which is suffering with dry rot, four cork liner spacer pads remain to the interior. Some of the tongues are now damaged. Metal clip and very small section of the chinstrap remain. Shell has makers stamp to the inside. The helmet comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from Ken Niewiarowicz, author of “Germany’s Combat Helmet 1933-45” by R James Bender Publishing, dated 28th May 2010. He states in the certificate that the decals are C.A Pocher type. A superb untouched example of a very rare SS helmet.
WW2 German Luftschutz Gladiator Pattern Steel Helmet, an interesting example which has had the decal removed and the helmet overpainted in combat green finish, indicating probable use by the German Volksturm in the defence of the major German cities like Berlin. Helmet is complete with the original three piece liner system and original chinstrap. Good example.
Royal Air Force G-Type Inner Flying Helmet, in green cloth with leather ear pads and earphones to the interior. Complete with wiring loom and RAF P-Type oxygen mask with hose. Accompanied by another G-Type inner flying helmet in green cloth with ear pads, ear phones and wiring loom. Both in used condition. (3 items)
Victorian Hampshire Regiment Officers Helmet Plate, gilt metal eight pointed star backing plate with the top point being replaced by Victorian crown, laurel spray and garter strap, black velvet centre with silver gilt tiger within wreath, three part scroll with regimental details within, silver polished to brass. Three lug fittings to the reverse of the plate.
