Accompanied by an American style M1 helmet issued to the Belgium army after WW2 with a American Vietnam war pattern camouflaged cover, complete with separate liner. Dents to the top of the shell. (2 items) Vendor purchased the first item from the family of the American veteran, the original owner served overseas at the very end of WW2 period as a guard at a German Prisoner of War camp.

Imperial German Regiment Garde du Corps Officers Helmet, copper brass shell with white metal trim. Starburst helmet plate with enamel centre. Scaled leather backed chinstraps with officers national and state cockades. Imperial eagle top with gilt metal crown. Rear sectioned tail with white metal domed rivets. Interior with leather sweatband and cloth lining. We are of the opinion that this helmet is an excellent museum quality post war representation and is being sold as such.

German Waffen-SS M-42 Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a standard model M-42 steel combat helmet retaining much of its original dark field grey paint finish to the exterior and interior. Helmet has a Waffen-SS decal to the side, this is possibly a later addition and sold as such. Complete with its original leather liner to the interior which shows some service wear and the leather is dry in places. Shell is stamped but the markings are not clear. Name has been scratched into the interior rim of the helmet.

Accompanied by a reproduction splinter pattern camouflaged helmet cover, reproduction black leather MP-40 ammunition pouch and a reproduction stick grenade. (4 items)
