Lower part of the plate with silver reserve cross. Officers pattern state and national cockades. Officers gilt brass scaled chinstraps. Circular top base with officers star fittings leading to officers pattern ball top. Interior with officers silk lining and leather sweatband. Helmet shows some service wear but is generally still a good example.

Officers pattern plate with silvered overlay of the Royal Arms, battle honours, regimental scroll and skull and crossbones with “OR GLORY” scroll below. Peak stitched with bullion wire. Gilt metal lion head side bosses and velvet backed linked officers chinstrap. Bullion cord plume boss with VR cipher set on black backing. Gilt metal officers plume socket holder, holding in place the fine quality and large white swan feather stitched officers full dress plume. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather sweatband and cloth lining with remains of retailers details. Helmet is complete with the original officers cap lines, dress waist belt and chamois storage cover for the helmet. Cap is housed in its original jappaned storage tin with brass name plaque engraved “R A Movitt 17th Lancers”. Also the jappaned plume storage tin. The cap remains in near mint condition with the gilt and silver overlay to the plate remaining perfect. Very fine example of a desirable lance cap.

Interior of the helmet with its original liner system which is dated 1942 to the leather sweatband and leather harness chinstrap. Some cracking and wear to the interior of the helmet. The camouflage net is split in places. Overall a very good example of an early pattern helmet.

Interior of the case with retailers label for J Robrecht of Berlin. A superb example of a very rare officers helmet.

Helmet is complete with the Luftwaffe eagle and national decals. Ventilation cover to the top of the helmet. Interior retains the original leather sweatband with cloth covered cork buffers. Stamped with Luftwaffe acceptance stamp and “43” to the interior. The blue / grey cloth covered examples are very rare and seldom found on the collectors market compared to the more common tropical cloth examples.

Interior of the shell is stamped “C.E.JUNCKER”, this is partially obscured by a brass circular fixing plate. Some areas of restoration.

WW1 British 1st Pattern Other Ranks Steel Combat Helmet, fine example of the early rimless pattern British steel combat helmet which has a dark and slightly rough textured paint finish to the exterior of the shell. The interior has the lighter apple green paint finish showing through. Interior also complete with the early pattern seven tongue liner system and two piece brown leather chinstrap with buckle fitting. Some obvious wear to the liner system and dents to the exterior shell but overall a very good example of a scarce WW1 British helmet.

Helmet is housed in its original metal storage tin with stencilled name to the lid, “J L COLES”. Helmet remains in excellent condition overall.

WW2 British Glider Pilots Helmet, superb example of the fibre crash helmet which was issued to Glider Pilots during operations such as D-Day. The helmet remains in near mint condition with much of the brown finish remaining to the shell of the helmet. The leather C-Type section remains in very good condition and is complete with the wiring looms and ear phones. Chamois lining to the interior and leather sweatband to the fibre section of the shell. Overall a very good example of a scarce helmet.

WW2 German Luftwaffe Paratroopers (Fallschirmjager) Steel Combat Helmet, fine untouched example of the model 38 Luftwaffe paratroopers steel combat helmet. The shell retains much of its original Luftwaffe blue grey paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. Late pattern bolts to the helmet and no decal ever been present which is correct for this late issue example. Special pattern leather liner to the interior with original foam pads. Helmet is also complete with the original blue leather harness pattern chinstrap. Liner remains in excellent overall condition with all stamps remaining clear. Shell is stamped “CKL68”. Scratched name of the original owner to the rear peak but this is not too clear. A very nice example of a scarce WW2 German helmet.

WW2 German M-42 Steel Combat Helmet, good untouched example retaining 95% of the original combat paint finish to the exterior of the shell. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner to the interior but this is dry and has flaked away in sections. Sections of the original leather chinstrap remain. Shell stamped 7654 to the rear.

Officers state and national cockades and officers gilt scaled chinstraps. Circular spike base with three domed rivets and single officers star, these have always been present with the helmet. Officers pattern spike which can be unscrewed from the base fitting. Interior of the helmet with the original leather sweatband and officers style lining. The helmet is housed in its original leather carry case. Good dark patina to the fittings, leather is dry and cracked in places with sections missing towards the spike base. Overall a good untouched example of an officers helmet from a very small state / principality.

Small holes to the body of the helmet behind where the plate sits.

Imperial German Naval Officers Dirk / Dress Dagger by WKC, fine example of a German WW1 naval officers dagger with Imperial pattern crowned top, ivorine grip, brass cross guard having fouled anchors, reverse side also having press button release catch. Housed in its brass scabbard with roped pattern hanging ring fittings. Reverse of the scabbard is engraved with the name of the original owner, “Oltmanns”. Partial double edged blade, which is etched with sailing ships, crowned anchor and foliage to both sides. WKC knights helmet type trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 33 ½ cms, overall 48 ½ cms.

Belgium 1843 Pattern Cuirassier’s Helmet, white metal skull with large Belgium lion helmet plate to the centre. Large brass flat chinscales with large semi circle side bosses with white medal fused grenades (one damaged). Brass comb containing black horse hair plume. Brass socket mounting to the comb which retains the brush plume. To the side of the helmet is brass plume socket with red feathered hackle plume fitted. No liner to the interior and some age cracks to the shell.

Gilt metal lion head side bosses and leather backed linked officers chinstrap. Bullion cord plume boss with cipher of Queen Victoria set on gray backing. Gilt metal officers plume socket holder, holding in place the fine quality but incorrect dyed blue swan feather stitched officers full dress plume, should be a white plume for this regiment. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather sweatband but the lining is now absent. Some mothing to the French grey mortar board top but otherwise is a fine example.
