Provenance: Given as a retirement gift to Joseph Murphy who had used it in his role as as the Dublin Port and Docks diver from the early 1960s to 1969. Literature: Murphy, Joe. Ringsend Boatbuilder And Shipwright, Dublin, 1989. Joseph Murphy is remembered by a plaque on the preserved diving bell displayed on Sir John Rogerson's Quay.
