A Post-1830 French Dragoon Brass Helmet, the comb embossed with volutes and with black horsehair crest, the left side with plume holder set with a red horsehair brush, the back of the skull stamped 613.1828, the front of the skull embossed with a flaming grenade, laurel wreath and branches of oak leaves and acorns, with fluted ear rosettes, the chinstrap of brass interlaced graduated S links, with leather linerHorsehair crest possibly later, lacks tail. Small dents to skull, front and back peaks.
