Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster featuring an illustration of a red dagger cutting an army helmet in half with a message - Defeat of fascism is a lesson to war mongerers. The helmet is made up of black and white war photographs. The year '1945' forms the handle of the dagger. Very good condition, stain across bottom of the poster. (15.5cm.) high; together with a small Victorian cream jug, Charles Stuart Harris, London 1889, cup form with spiral reeded decoration, 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high, gross weight 6.15 tr.oz. (2)* Condition: - George III: Engraved initial S to front. Marks slightly rubbed but remain legible. Some small dings around lower body and small line dent below girdle. Small soldered repair to lower handle. - Victorian: Clear marks. Small soldered repair to body just to right of lower handle joint. Otherwise good.

First Giunta edition of Pomponius Mela's De situ orbis, the earliest Latin geography extant. (1)
