WW1 American Advance Section Services of Supply Camouflaged Steel Helmet Shell, good example of a British made helmet shell which has a blue and grey camouflage paint scheme to the exterior of the shell with black dividing lines and painted insignia of the Advance Section Services of Supply to the front. British chinstrap mounts with split pins. No liner or chinstrap.
WW1 British Royal Flying Corps / Royal Air Force Cowl Pattern Hood Flying Helmet, soft tan leather hood flying helmet with ear rolls, leather strap and single thin strap. Interior partially chamois lined, missing the wool interior lining to the hood. Inked details of the original owner. Some wear and scuffing to the leather but still a good displayable item.

Victorian 2nd Hants Rifle Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet, fine example of a green cloth covered officers home service helmet with white metal officers helmet plate, having arms of Southampton to the centre and strap with ‘2ND HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEERS’. Rosette side bosses with linked silver plated chin strap and cruciform spike base with rosette mounts. Interior with tan leather sweatband and crimson lining. Some light areas of cloth loss but generally a very good example of a scarce helmet. Late Rod Flood collection.
Bedfordshire Imperial Yeomanry Officers Lance Cap, fine example of the black leather bodied officers lance cap fitted with silver gilt officers helmet plate with crowned Imperial eagle with castle to centre of chest, enclosed in laurel and oakleaves wreath. Velvet backed officers chinstrap and gilt metal lion head side bosses. Black ribbed cloth to the sides of the mortar board with patent leather top. Gilt metal roped plume socket with plain button. Helmet is complete with a black feather plume but not gilt mount. Interior with leather sweatband and cloth lining. Hawkes tailors logo to the interior crown.
WW2 British Steel Combat Helmet with Camouflage Cover, an interesting example of a WW2 British steel combat helmet which has been fitted with an original cloth cover with a worn and faded camouflaged pattern. The helmet shell retains its early brown paint finish to the shell. Interior is complete with the original 1939 dated liner and webbing chinstrap. Late Rod Flood collection.
WW1 Roold Pattern Aviators Flying Helmet, good example of the brown leather cork aviators flying helmet known as the Roold pattern. The helmet has the original ear flaps and short neck guard. Interior with leather sweatband and quilted cloth lining. An ink stamp appears in the crown of the helmet. Some light service wear but generally a very good example. This pattern of aviators helmet was favoured by allied pilots from Britain, France and Belgium.
WW1 52nd Battalion (New Ontario) Canadian Expeditionary Force Steel Combat Helmet, an interesting and untouched example of a 2nd pattern brodie helmet with cover to the rim. Blue grey paint finish to the exterior of the shell and a stencilled insignia of the 52nd CEF to the front. Interior of the shell has written details with 1917 date, but this is not clear enough to transcribe, it mentions comrade, which could indicate this was picked up off the battlefield. Original but worn liner system to the interior of the shell. Some surface rusting to the exterior of the shell but overall an interesting WW1 Canadian steel helmet.

Helmet has red painted ‘V’ insignia around the shell, being the regimental distinction of the Northumberland Fusiliers. Interior with split pins to the chinstrap mounts. Horsehair pad to the crown but no liner system.
WW1 War Art German M-16 Steel Helmet Shell, good untouched battle damaged M-16 helmet shell with remains of the field grey paint finish to the exterior. Painted in red ‘R.C.R’, ’14-18’ and ‘1917 VIMY’. The shell has various bullet / shrapnel entry and exit holes. Hole in the top of the shell where it has possibly once been used as a lamp shade. Interior has no liner or liner band. Circle mark on the crown of the shell which would correspond with the theory of being used as a light shade.

Complete with the correct pattern side bosses for chinstrap and original spike base with removable blackened fluted spike. Interior with tan leather sweatband and crimson lining. Crown with J B Johnstone Ltd, Dublin tailors leather tooled label. Good untouched example. Helmet spike replaced, not RIC pattern.

Rare Royal Air Force East of Malta Flying Helmet, being the khaki cloth covered cork flying helmet with folded cloth pagri to the centre. Interior with the original ear flaps having chamois lining. Leather sweatband with gilt tooled details and the rear has the remains of the goggle securing strap. Generally good condition example of a rare flying helmet worn by aircrew of the RAF in the 1930’s on the North West Frontier.

Brass other ranks Prussian helmet plate to the centre, spike with domed rivets, enlisted ranks Prussian and national reichs cockades. Fine original leather chinstrap which shows some cracking. Small hole to the top of the felt shell. Interior retains the original brown leather liner. Rear peak with black ink stamps. Interior and exterior of the shell with remains of mud from the trenches of the western front. Super untouched example of a desirable original helmet.

WW1 American Camouflaged Steel Combat Helmet, good example of an original WW1 American M-17 steel helmet shell which has a vibrant camouflage paint finish to the exterior of the shell in green, brown and yellow colours with black dividing lines, in the same style as the German camouflage helmets. The top of the helmet has a black painted emblem. Interior of the shell has a loose original oilcloth liner but no chinstrap.
WW1 German Prussian M-15 Pickelhaube, leather shell helmet with field grey Prussian other ranks helmet plate (damaged), grey front trim, rear spine and other ranks pattern M-15 removable spike. Leather liner now mostly absent, with just the remains to the front. Front peak has become unstitched.
WW1 Portuguese Steel Combat Helmet, interesting mild steel ribbed brodie style helmet which was produced during the first world war period but mostly used in the post war years. Dark painted field finish to the exterior. Helmet is complete with its original leather sweatband and cloth lining. Heavily worn and some paint loss.

Rare WW1 British Other Ranks Steel Combat Helmet with Original Sacking Trench Cover, good untouched example of an early pattern steel combat helmet with the 1st pattern liner system and early two piece leather chinstrap. The helmet is fitted with an original four panel hessian sacking trench cover. The cover is tightly fixed to the helmet so have not been able to remove to see the exterior of the shell. Interior shows some surface pitting and wear to the liner.
Scarce WW1 British Other Ranks 1st Pattern Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a 1st pattern rimless edge brodie steel combat helmet with much of its original early apple green paint finish to the shell. The helmet has the correct first pattern six tongue liner system and the original two piece brown leather chinstrap. The shell shows some service wear with dents etc and the lining shows obvious service wear but generally a very good example of a rare to find WW1 steel combat helmet.
Imperial German Infantry Regiment Nr 74 (1st Hannover) Other Ranks Pickelhaube with Original Trench Cover, fine untouched example of a leather shelled Imperial German other ranks pickelhaube with fine other ranks gilt metal Prussian eagle helmet plate with ‘WATERLOO’ scroll. Brass front trim, circular spike base with domed rivets, other ranks spike and rear spine. Prussian state and reichs pattern other ranks cockades with its original leather chinstrap attached. Interior of the helmet has the original leather liner. The rear peak is stamped with the regimental stamping but the numbers have been removed but you can make out the ‘74’ held to the right light, interestingly the army depot number has also had the numerals rubbed out. Shell has inked makers stamp and the size stamp. The helmet is complete with its original cloth trench cover which is inked to the interior with regimental details ‘J.R. 74’ and dated 1904. The cover is complete with the three front hooks and two rear. This helmet is fresh to the market and has not been offered before, directly from the family of the British veteran who souvenired the helmet from WW1, so no reason to remove the numbers from the inside.
WW2 British Home Front Factory Fire Service Steel Helmet, standard WW2 British steel helmet with black paint finish to the shell. White stencilled factory details ‘J. S. Ltd F.S’ to the front. Helmet is complete with the original 1939 dated liner system and webbing chinstrap. The underside of the brim also has ‘J.S. Ltd’ stencilled and the number ‘230’.
