Reproduction English Civil War Lobster Tail Cavalry Helmet. Good quality older reproduction in steel. Hinged guard with nasal bar to face. Articulated lobster tail to neck. Hinged bevelled cheek guards with 7 holes, fitted with a black leather chinstrap and buckle. No liner as worn with a stocking cap. No makers markings. The lobster-tailed pot helmet, also known as the zischägge, horseman?s pot and harquebusier?s pot.

Helmet Plate with white metal "hobnail" star mounted with an oval strap inscribed with regimental title and enclosing the three Leopards' masks of Shropshire. Complete with black leather liner, black falling horse hair plume in a gilt brass socket. Replacement chin chain.
British Victorian 1871 Pattern Royal Berkshire Yeomanry Cavalry Helmet. Silvered skull. White Horse Hair Falling plume, missing boss. To each side, a brass rose head boss supports a modern replacement black felt backed brass chin chain. To the front is the helmet plate bearing the Regimental badge of Star & Crescent on a star backing. Black leather liner.
British Victorian 1871 Pattern Life Guards Helmet. Silvered skull. To the top of the helmet is a gilt acanthus leaf holder which supports the falling white horse hair plume. Gilt rose pattern ear bosses, support a modern replacement gilt brass leather backed chin chain. To the front is the helmet plate of a half laurel and half oak leaf wreath surrounding the collar of the Order of the Garter and surmounted by a Queens Crown. The liner is a modern 20th Century replacement in tan coloured leather.
British Victorian 1871 Pattern Hampshire Carabiniers Cavalry Helmet. Silvered skull with some period repairs. White metal star helmet plate being the Regimental badge with Queens Crown. Helmet has silvered metal cross base and fluted plume holder which houses a falling red plume. Gilt metal rosette to top of holder. Silvered rosettes which secure a replacement black leather backed chin chain. Green leather to underside of the peak. Original brown leather liner with a section missing. Small size.

Helmet has brass cross base and fluted plume holder which houses a falling white horse hair plume. Gilt metal rosette to top of holder. Brass rosettes (one of which is a replacement and is loose having incorrect thread) which hold a replacement chin chain backed with brown felt. Brown leather liner which bears a paper size label which reads "6 1/2". Green leather to underside of peak.

Some unit stamps to rear rim of helmet which have been struck out "7 DG" "6720" "I.09" and an unstruck "1 DG 5386".

Underside of peak has remains of a thin leather covering. Rear brim is leather covered. No liner or liner band.

Lion's mask mounts for chin chain. The chin chain is backed with brown leather. No liner or liner band. No leather to undersides of peaks. Uncleaned condition.
Reproduction dating from the late 20th Century of a Victorian 12th Lancers Shako Cap. Plume socket with red enlisted man's horse hair plume for the Prince of Wales's Royal Lancers. Helmet plate with Queens Crown and battle honours. Black leather backed chin chain. Lion's mask chin chain mounts. Black leather peak. Black leather sweatband. Size approx modern 57.
French Republican Guard of the City of Paris Cuirassier helmet. Maker marked to rear of helmet "Siraudin & Hersant". Also stamped with various issue accountability numbers to the rear of the helmet body. The body is silvered metal with the edges banded in gilded brass. The gilded comb is decorated on both sides with volutes and laurel leaves and the front bears the head of Medusa. A black horsehair tail hangs from the rear of the comb. Slightly convex chinscales on a soft black velvet backing are attached to two large bosses. A gilded socket on the left side supports a small red horse hair plume. Seven-fingered brown leather liner. Front and rear peaks are lined with brown leather. Name scratched into the leather on the rear peak "Houdep".
WW1 US Army issue steel helmet shells x 2. One with camo paint and the other with hand painted insignia to front. No liners or complete chinstraps to either example. The camo helmet has remains of the cloth lining in the crown and a short section of the leather chinstrap. Die stamped lot number to shell. Both chinstrap loops remain. The helmet with the hand painted insignia has die stamped lot numbers to the shell and both chinstrap looks remain. (2)

British MkIV Steel Helmet. Original painted insignia with "R" to front and rear and Clp's stripes to sides. Complete with liner and web chinstrap. Uncleaned barn find condition. Along with another with later liner dated 1982, again uncleaned with some rust marks to inside. Named on outside and inside to "WO Lowther". (2)
British Helmet Steel, Airborne Troops. MkIII Pattern helmet with original paint with black overpainted camo pattern. Complete with leather liner by BMB, size 6 7/8ths, dated 1949 and with web chinstrap with leather chincup. A press stud has been sewn to the end of the chinstrap to allow a quick release. Cushion Pad in the crown is loose. Original owners name written in ink to the sweatband "Pte Harrison 24171642".
Post War US M1C Airborne Steel Helmet complete with M1 liner and Woodland pattern camo cover. Has correct airborne modifications to M1 liner and chinstraps. No chincup. Has traces of stitching to camo cover indicating Capt's rank bars: Along with a Danish Army M48 steel helmet and liner with grey painted finish and with three white stars to the front, unissued condition. Royal Air Force RAF Officer's Full Dress Parade Helmet circa 1921-39. .A rare example of the flying helmet-inspired "Busby" headdress by Burberry's. Black chromed leather skull trimmed with black nutria fur. Plaited gold and pale blue cord festoon to front. Black patent leather chinstrap. Bi-metal badge and blue-grey ostrich-feather plume in woven gold bullion socket. Overall GC with slight wear . . . .Full dress was introduced in 1920, the busby followed in 1921 however the badge did not obtain official approval until 26th January 1923. Full dress was discontinued at the outbreak of WW2.
