Great War Period Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment Other Ranks Foreign Service Helmet, fine example of a WW1 period other ranks foreign service helmet with khaki cloth over the cork body, folded cloth pagri to the centre of the helmet with regimental pagri flash to the side. Thin brown leather chinstrap. Interior with green cloth covering and brown leather sweatband.

With an 83cm curved, pointed blade with long shallow fuller, marked with a knight's helmet and W.K.C. With a folding gilt guard with fouled anchor amongst oak leaves, with wire bound marine ivory grip, lion's head pommel with red and green gem set eyes, and attached sword knot. The leather scabbard with decoratively engraved brass mounts and twin ring suspension. 100cm. *CR Good condition, blade much as new, crack to body of grip, sword with some light fraying.

With a 25cm pointed blade with partial double fuller, marked to the ricasso WKC with a knights helmet for Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie. The gilt cross piece with fouled anchor, with white, wire bound celluloid grip, the pommel an eagle above a swastika in a wreath. The scabbard with button release, 'pebble' decoration and twin ring suspension. 42cm overall. *CR A good example with light rubbing and signs of age.

A fine brass helmet plate for the 1st King's Dragoon Guards, Other Ranks type c. 1847-1871. With an elaborate crown above VR initials to the centre within 'King's Dragoon Guards against a silvered star within a Rococo shield, supported by crossed branches of oak and laurel leaves. 17 x 15cm. *CR Top of oak leaves lacking, slight indentations in places.

A 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays) 1871 Pattern enameled Officer's Helmet plate. With central VR initials against a red enameled background, within a garter 'Honi Soit Qui May Y Pense against dark blue, all mounted on a 12 pointed silvered faceted star, with four short screw fixing points to the reverse. *CR Slight cracking in red enamel. An attractive example.

A 1st Dragoon Guards Helmet plate with the number '1' on a black ground, within garter and against a twelve pointed silvered star, with 12 x 10.5cm with four long threaded fixing posts. *CR Slight loss of black to the centre, otherwise a nice example in uncleaned condition.

Cracking and slight loss to red enamel. A fine helmet.

A similar American civil defence helmet with webbing and chin strap, stamped 'U S GOV Property O C D'. And a similar helmet painted 's F P' for Special Fire Patrol', stamped internally 'L' and 'MPB 41', with liner. (3). *CR All showing signs of age and wear, the last with light surface rust.
