A 1936 Doris Lindner ceramic figure entitled 'Hog Hunting' with mounted hunstman in pith helmet trying to spear a wild boar, model number 3164, height 7cm, presented on original baize-lined black lacquer plinth. CONDITION REPORT There are no obvious signs of significant damage or repair. There is no certificate.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Eastern Europe, Straight, double-edged blade, ribbed in the center and with double fuller. Quillon and grip in one piece, in silvered metal, quillon decorated with a bat and buds, grip is finely carved with in-the-round effigy of a Cossack with mail dress, with relieved and gilded rings, armed with a kindjal and pistol, a helmet on his head from which a neck-defense comes out, gilded as well. Silvered, metal scabbard, richly decorated in relief and partially gilded, with arm trophies and armour, in which a cusped helmet and a saber of oriental taste stand out, chape with a mask. length 23,2 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: Austria, Straight blade of triangular section, first part engraved and gilded with trophies and floral motifs on a blue ground. Bronze hilt with small shell-guard with imperial eagle, loop-guard with a snake and oak branches, pommel shaped as plumed helmet. Grip with mother-of-pearl grip scales. length 96.5 cm.
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: France, Double-edged blade of 18th century, of hexagonal section, grooved first part with barely readable inscription. Brass hilt, shell-guard decorated with spider net, loop-guard with artillery symbols, pommel with face with a helmet. Grip with bone grip scales. length 99 cm.
dating: First Empire provenance: France, Straight blade of triangular section, first part engraved and gilded with trophies and floral motifs on a blue ground, the base marked 'V A K & F'. Gilded, brass hilt, shell-guard pierced with anchor and floral motifs, pommel with a helmet, the rest decorated with floral motifs. Ebony grip with brass, lozenge plate, engraved. Wooden scabbard with brass mounts, engraved with floral motifs. Scarce. length 96 cm.
dating: last quarter of the 16th Century provenance: Italy, In iron, in one piece with medium-high, twisted comb, brim with a recessed and file-roped border, engraved with flowers. The rest of the helmet, including the comb, finely embossed and engraved with figures, dragons, trophies, masks, helmets and arms on a grained ground. A row of brass rivets. Small damages and restores. height 29 cm.
dating: About 1630 provenance: Italy, Viscontea type helmet, with skull in one piece, small restore at the peak and holes in the central back part, probably for an applicable parade mount, brass, engraved plume-holder. Chanfrin with raisable brim, with hemmed, twisted border, ribbed ventail with wide eye-slots, divided by a central stave, right part with a pierced ventilation rosette, beaver with a stave to hold the visor high and two hooks for the visor and skull latch. Front and back neckguard plate. All the surface decorated with white and golden bands (so as all the other armour parts). Lateral, flower-shaped rosettes. Original, linen lining inside, with borders decorated with red velvet and gilded thread. Gorget with plate and front and back plates. File-roped upper border. Breast-plate ribbed in the center, with neck-line, file-roped gussets, sloping and file-roped in the center, right part with two, big screws to host the rest. Back-plate en suite, with a restore in the lower right part. Complete brassards and seven-plated tassets, decorated on the borders en suite with the helmet in velvet and gilded thread, tassets fastenings and belt in velvet and gilded thread but of the modern restoration. height 88 cm.
A Horseguard officers helmet on stand, the brass crowned helmet plate with laurel and oak leaf garland, with ribbon and rosette inner border enclosing a matt ground set with a silver plated garter star with brass buckled ribbon "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" centred by a cross, the spike with red horsehair plume, large brass ear rosettes and leather backed brass chin scales, helmet 43cm high, together with two invoices from Worldwide Arms Limited, dated 08/10/03 and totalling £662. "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" is a French maxim used as the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter. It is translated as "May he be shamed who thinks badly of it", it is usually used to insinuate the presence of hidden agendas or conflicts of interest.
