A 19th Century English Tea Service, painted in puce with landscape scenes, monuments etc, comprises: an oval Covered Teapot and Stand, helmet shaped Cream Jug, further covered oval Sugar Bowl, Slop Bowl (A/F), six circular Cups and seven various can-shaped Cups, and two further circular Bowls (some repairs and damage throughout)
Georgian helmet style cream jug with bright cut floral and foliate engraving central monogrammed cartouche with foliate scroll surround, reeding to the base and rim. Total height measures 4 1/4ins (11cm), weight 2.977ozt (92.59gms). Hallmarked with standard and duty marks only, sponsors mark reads RF. There are surface scratches to the whole of the jug caused by general wear and tear. There are also a number of very small shallow dents. The base of the jug is very uneven and notched, and the jug stands slightly unsteadily. There is a crack in the rim to the base. The base itself has some blobs of solder, possibly from a repair. The inside of the jug is quite badly scratched in places. There is a crack in the reeding on the rim underneath the handle. There is a build-up of tarnish underneath the handle. The hallmark is rubbed but legible.
Georgian wine funnel with reeded decoration to the detachable rim and small personal engraving. Length measures 4 3/4ins (12cm), weight 2.756ozt (85.74gms). Hallmarked Edinburgh, no date letter, sponsors mark reads JH. The wine funnel has some surface scratches and is very tarnished. The collar is dented quite badly but still fits into the body fairly well. The collar is not hallmarked. The hallmark on the funnel is rubbed but still legible. There is an engraved mark that shows an arm holding the helmet from a suit of armour, with the words 'Ut Simparatior' above. This crest was registered by the Clephane family of Carlsogie, Scotland in 1802.

A pair of helmets worn by Jock Taylor and Benga Johansson in their 1980 Sidecar World Champions season, each Centurion blue helmet with a tartan band, and named to the reverse JOCK and BENGA. These helmets were bought by the present vendor at a children's charity auction at a Cycle Show at the NEC. Tragically, Jock Taylor, also a four time winner of the Isle of Man TT, died as the result of an accident in the 1982 Finnish Grand Prix.
