WW2 German Army Normandy Camouflaged Steel Combat Helmet, Model 1940 steel helmet with remains of the original German army decal to the side. Helmet shell has a smooth camouflage paint finish in light green, brown and tan colours, the pattern which is associated with the German forces stationed in France and especially Normandy. Helmet is complete with the original leather liner system to the interior. Shell is stamped “SE62” and “1334”. Some inked details to the leather liner but these are not clear. Good untouched example.

German Army Single Decal Battle Damaged Steel Combat Helmet, super untouched example of a M40 pattern steel combat helmet with remains of German army single decal. Helmet retains much of its original field combat paint finish. Where the decal has been the shell has been penetrated probably by a shell splinter / shrapnel which has impacted the leather liner to the interior slightly. The shell also has another area of damage to the lower rear skirt. Helmet retains the original leather liner and leather chinstrap. Painted to the interior of the helmet is the original owners name, “Halbroth”. Super untouched example of battle damaged combat helmet.
Scarce Kriegsmarine M-35 Battle Damaged Steel Combat Helmet, untouched example of a early model 1935 German steel combat helmet with approximately 60% of the original Kriegsmarine gold eagle decal to the side. Much of the early apple green paint finish remains to the shell. The shell has suffered an impact from a shell blast on the side where the decal is present, this has caused the side vent / grommet to be pushed out and also one of the liner pins. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner to the interior which shows service wear. Shell is stamped “ET66” and “4057”. Original Kriegsmarine Model 35 steel helmets are very scarce to find.
Third Reich Police Field Divisions Double Decal Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a Model 1940 steel combat helmet retaining much of the original combat paint finish to the exterior of the shell. Helmet is complete with the original Police eagle decal which has been overlaid on top of another decal, which appears to be that of the Waffen-SS. Many Waffen-SS units converted to Police divisions so often they re-decaled existing helmets. To the other side is the remains of the original Party decal shield. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner system and has its original chinstrap. Shell is stamped “10023” and “ET62”.
Luftwaffe M-35 Double Decal Steel Combat Helmet with Remains of Camouflage Paint Finish, good example of an early Luftwaffe steel combat helmet with much of the original light blue / grey paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. The shell does have a green overpaint camouflage paint finish which has worn in places. Remains of the original early droop tail eagle and national tri-colour decal. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner which shows some areas of dryness. Some inked initials to the liner. Shell is stamped “2954” and “ET62”. Good untouched example.
Luftwaffe M-40 Italian Front Camouflaged Steel Combat Helmet, good untouched example of a model 1940 steel combat helmet which retains approximately 85% of its original tropical rough textured tropical camouflage paint finish to the exterior, much of the blue grey Luftwaffe paint coming through. Under the camouflage paint finish single Luftwaffe decal is still visible. Helmet is complete with the original leather liner. Shell stamped “11790” and “Q64”. Good untouched example.
WW2 Luftwaffe Battle Damaged Steel Combat Helmet, M40 pattern steel combat helmet retaining much of its original Luftwaffe blue paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. 2nd pattern Luftwaffe helmet decal which remains in good overall condition, approximately 85% remaining. The shell has a large stress fracture to the front which has forced one liner rivet to be removed. Dents and stress cracks also to the back side of the shell making it misshaped. The helmet retains the original liner and part of the original leather strap. Cracks and wear to the liner. Shell is stamped “SE64” and “9850”. Accompanying the helmet is the paperwork and photographs of Driver C R Hart RASC who brought the helmet back to the UK as a souvenir. One of the photographs shows a group of British soldiers in which Hart is one, standing in front of a German fortification in which it is said the helmet was taken from.
WW2 German Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager (Paratroopers) Steel Combat Helmet, fine untouched example of the model 38 Luftwaffe paratroopers steel combat helmet. The shell retains much of its original Luftwaffe blue grey paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. Special pattern leather liner to the interior with original foam pads. Helmet is also complete with the original blue leather harness pattern chinstrap. Liner shows cracks and splits as does the harness chinstrap but they are original to the helmet. Shell is stamped “CKL68” and “4189”.

Three part lower brass scrolls with regimental details and scroll with battalion details. Three lug fittings to the reverse of the plate. Finish dull to the obverse and some wear to the velvet centre.

British 1871 Pattern 5th Dragoon Guards Troopers Helmet, brass shell with laurel leaves decoration. White metal helmet plate of star and central garter with a number 5 within. Original leather backed linked chin chain supported by rose pattern side boss (one missing). Cross piece base and fluted plume holder with red and white horse hair plume. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather liner. Some dents to the shell but generally good untouched example.
Victorian 12th (Prince of Wales Royal) Lancers Other Ranks Lance Helmet, of black leather skull complete with brass other ranks lance cap plate. Red cloth covered mortar board top. Brass lion head side bosses supporting linked brass chin chain. Blue and yellow woollen ball tuft with gilt metal button and red horse hair plume. Interior has much of the original sweatband intact and he original cloth lining. Impressed stampings to the peak. Headdress suffers with service wear and mothing to the red cloth top. Some areas of leather also missing from the top. Well used example.
WW1 British Steel Combat Helmet with Original Cloth Cover and Neck Flap, very good example of a 2nd pattern British steel combat helmet complete with the original oilskin cloth liner and brown leather chinstrap. Helmet is complete with its original canvas cloth cover and khaki neck flap. Rust staining / bleed through the cloth cover. Helmet cover not been removed so shell not inspected but the interior of the shell still retains the original paint finish. These helmets were worn by British soldiers out in Mesopotamia and the Far East In 1917 when it became apparent that the Wolsey Sun helmet was no longer suitable in combat.

To the sides are green half circles painted which is most likely a divisional marking. Helmet is complete with its original oilskin liner system and brown leather chinstrap. The markings may be for a Canadian division.
Scarce French Adrian Helmet Trench Mortar Unit being a standard form model 1915 Adrian pattern helmet with a unofficial badge to the front in the form of a mortar. Helmet has the original leather strap and leather liner. Helmet has horizon blue paint finish. Some pitting and surface rusting to the exterior of the shell. Similar example can be seen on page 230 of the book “Helmets of the First World War” by Haselgrove & Radovic.
Rare WW1 Polish Legion in France Adrian Steel Helmet, untouched example of the scarce Polish Legion helmet worn by support and artillery troops. Shell has heavy overpaint finish and large central oval badge with Polish eagle. Complete with the original leather liner and thin leather chinstrap. Very good example.
Unusual Belgium Air Defence Squadrons Adrian Pattern Steel Helmet, being a French made example of the M15 Adrian pattern steel helmet painted brown and with brass badge mounted to the front for the Belgium Air Defence / Anti-Aircraft squadrons. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner and leather chinstrap. Good overall condition example.
Royal Air Force B-Type Flying Helmet Originally Belonging to Sergeant (Pilot) Philip Colmer Eyre, Killed in Action when his Whitley Bomber was Shot Down by a Night Fighter over Holland 6th/7th September 1941, brown leather multi-panel flying helmet with split rear. Leather covered ear cups and chamois lining to the interior. No label or dates to the inside. Inked to the interior is “SGT EYRE 1165193”. The helmet is complete with wiring loom and a restored D-Type oxygen mask. The mask with green canvas body, securing straps with press stud fittings and black painted Air Ministry marked microphone. Inked to the inside of the mask is “SERGT PENNYLOCK”, indicating that this set has been put together at some point, either wartime or post war. 1165193 Sergeant Philip Colmer Eyre died 7th September 1941, aged 20, whilst flying Whitley Z6970 DY-R. He transferred into 78 Squadron in July 1941, Eyre being later transferred onto 102 Squadron later that year. Eyre, was the son of James Colmer Eyre and Annie Margaret Eyre, of Westminster, London. The aircraft was airborne at 2105 Hours on 6th September 1941 from Topcliffe and was shot down by a night-fighter and crashed at 0107 Hours at Sambeek (Noord Brabant), 26 km NE of Helmond, Holland with the loss of all those on board. The crew of 4 consisted of Sgt Phillip Colmer Eyre, Sgt Leonard Albert Stock, Sgt Kenneth Pearson Withyman and Sgt Thomas McGill. The crew are buried in Eindhoven (Woensel) General Cemetery, P C Eyre in plot JJ, Grave 37.

Chamois lining with velvet forehead band. Ink stamped Air Ministry stamp to the interior and marked “Size 1”. Inked initials to the interior. To the front of the helmet is faintly painted “D.S.8”. Helmet remains in generally good condition. Helmet is accompanied by a WW2 civil defence bakelite helmet complete with its original liner. (2 items)

Original loop to the reverse and WW1 replacement loop, slightly lower. Good untouched example of a rare helmet plate.

Helmet is missing its sweatband and liner. Leather sunken at the top due to weight of plume etc. Good untouched example.

Fixing bolts remaining to the helmet plate, two small holes behind the plate section. Good untouched example.
