A GERMAN CAP-A-PIE FIELD ARMOUR IN THE 16TH CENTURY STYLE, the two-piece close helmet with blunt visor pierced with two eye slits over the ridged and pierced face, the bevor securing to the skull and the visor with two hooked catches, the lower with turned and roped edges with domed rivet decoration, fitted with a plume holder to the rear, four-lame gorget with thick rope turned neck aperture, the gadrooned breastplate with raised medial ridge drawn out to a point, three-lame articulated waist, the upper chest and arm apertures with heavy roped edges, five-lame articulated tassets with turned and roped edges, matching backplate, fully articulated pauldrons, rerebraces, couters and vambraces all with turned and roped edges, the fingered gauntlets with short fixed flared cuffs with turned and roped aperture, the back of the hands composed of six articulated plates with roped knuckle defence, the fingers and thumbs composed of articulated plates, the cuisses, poleyn and greaves all formed and trimmed to match, fully articulated rounded sabatons. A very well made and proportioned Victorian armour, associated contemporary helmet. Plinth and stand not included.
A 17TH CENTURY OTTOMAN ZISCHAGGE OR LOBSTER-TAILED HELMET, the single-piece skull drawn up to a turned and stepped finial, the whole with traces of incised spiral decoration, the base with domed lining rivets, shaped and pointed peak with turned edge, domed rivet decoration and adjustable nasal bar with leaf-shaped terminal, four-lame articulated neck guard drawn out to a peak, turned edge and domed rivets, the two ear defences decorated to match.
A GOOD COPY OF A NORTH EUROPEAN ZISCHAGGE OR LOBSTER TAILED HELMET, two-piece skull with shallow turned comb and incised linear decoration, the elongated peak drawn out to a point with pierced shallow gulley set with domed rivets and incised linear decoration, the four lame tail squared off and drawn to a peak and decorated to match, the two-ear defences also decorated to match and with pierced and shaped hinges.
A GOOD 20TH CENTURY COPY OF A 16TH CENTURY FRENCH CLOSE HELMET, the two-piece skull with low turned and roped comb, the sharply pointed visor with roped medial ridge, the dual stepped eye slots with roped lower edges, the upper bevor with roped upper edge and five graduated linear breaths to either side the lower bevor secured with two swinging catches, two-lame gorget with stepped and riveted decoration and turned and roped edge.
A 20TH CENTURY SMALL ARMOUR, 102cm high excluding the wooden plinth, comprising close helmet, breastplate drawn out to a point and with two lame tassets, pauldrons, rerebraces, couters, vambraces, gauntlets, the cuffs drawn out to points, ribbed and cuisse, poleyn, plain greaves and sabatons, complete with halbard and shield.
