A leather armor with helmet dating: late 19th Century provenance: China Helmet sewn in two pieces with open-work, cusped at the top, shaped as a phurbu blade and with nape-guard consisting in three rows of blades, sewn with leather; painted with gold floral and geometrical motifs at the surface. Cuirass consisting in two, big, leather plaques and two smaller ones at the sides, painted in red and decorated with brass studs; featuring Mahakala (Kali's husband) head, made of brass; two, leather pauldrons. Provided with nine rows of segments, en suite with the helmet, as a protection at the lower part. Very scarce. dimensions: height elmo 50 armatura 71 cm.
A very scarce Korean-Japanese Nanban Kawari Bachi Kabuto dating: circa 1600 provenance: Japan Korean skull, consisting in four,riveted plates, featuring staves with raisers, s circular band ad the base, fixed by rivets. A tehen-kanamono at the top. Japanese koshi-maki, mabisazi and the hook for the mandate; open-works to fix the shikoro at the base, on the back.Brim with pierced ornament (mon?).This helmet was presumably taken by the troops of Prince Hizen during the Taiho Samu expedition in Korea in 1594. Korean helmets with nanban frame might be either in public or private collections. A Korean helmet with Japanese shikoro is at the Stibbert Museum, in Florence, see Procacci/Robinson, nr. 191 a; another one with coat of mail is illustrated by Żygulski, p. 230. dimensions: height 26 cm.

Leather chin-straps with velvet covering (partially worn), armored with brass scales decorated with laurel leaves; cheek-pieces with relieved leaves. Plume-holder with red plume. A navy officer's sabre dating: 19th Century provenance: France Slightly-curved, single-and false-edged blade with thin fuller near the back. Brass hilt with partially-pierced guard and decorated in-relief, depicting an anchor on a trophy of flags. Featuring the stamp "F B D"with a helmet and a sword, guard with knot at the center. A Savoyard helmet dating: 17th Century provenance: Northern Italy Iron skull, worked in two pieces joint to the central comb. Raisable sight, provided with a spot for the comb and round brim, fixed with rivets. Ventail with air holes and vertical segments. Beaver with a neck-defense blade; nape-guard with single blade. Hooks and closing eyelets on the left side. Rivets with copper head. In patina. dimensions: height 29 cm.
An extremely rare sallet from the famous Kuppelmayr collection dating: last quarter of the 15th Century provenance: Germany Hammered skull in one piece, featuring a large and short comb at the top, with outlined borders and base; engraved with flowers at the base, then ribbed along the long tail; three grooves at the front, on each side; air holes decorated with carved, flower-shaped rivets (one is missing), a row of rivets for the scabbard in the middle. Fringed border, a visible mark of Nuremberg at the tip, on the back. Raisable visor with wide eye-slot, protruding at the center and ribbed, carved and engraved on the sides with waves (en suite with the crest), held by flower-shaped rivets; the lateral border carved with a tip, the lower border en suite with the skull. A button-lock with inner spring on the right side. Provenance: Max Kuppelmayr Collection A private collection in England Illustrated in "Sammlung Kuppelmayr" and described together with the complete armor N° 2, provided with the picture of the stamp. "Eurpaische Helme", Muller Kunter, pag. 96 picture 66/67. "Waffen und Rustungen", P. Martin, pag. 188, nr. 154. A similar sample, kept in the Bayerischen Nationalmuseum (see Martin) also shows flower-shaped rivets. Max Kuppelmayr, the manufacturer, started to produce his wonderful collection around 1845 and, at the time of his death in 1888, it was one of the most important collection of European antique arms in the world. Rudolph Kuppelmayr, his son, decided to put this collection in an outstanding volume that was displayed to the public on January 1895. The 24th of June 1919 the collection was sold at auction at the Hugo Helbing Galler, in Munich. An officials small sword dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Baltic region Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, engraved and gilt on blue ground with trophies and floral motifs, marked "IGB" at the forte; gilt, bronze hilt, shell-guard with coat of arms from Francis I period, decorated with bas-relieved floral motif, pommel depicting a face with helmet, grip with mother-of-pearl grip scales. An important pair of cannons on a mobile support dating: 18th Century provenance: Europe Bronze barrels, shaped as a truncated cone, provided with a cascabel knot decorated with relieved acanthus leaves, back vent surrounded by relieved petals, a fine heraldic badge at the back, featuring a shield with an arrow, surmounted by a winged helmet with another arrow on top and surrounded by racemes. Engraved with floral motifs at the center, with handles and trunnions. Engraved with floral motifs and big moulded muzzle at the end. Complete with mobile, wooden support, featuring wooden wheels and iron mounts. The quality of the two barrels is slightly different. dimensions: length con affusto 121,5 cm.
A very rare flintlock gun by Giovanni Maria Loggia dating: first quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Brescia Extraordinary, smooth, round, 16 mm cal. barrel, the visible part is entirely chiselled with the effigy of a figure, masks, trophy, angel, birds, helmet, axe, torch and floral motifs on granulated ground, with foresight; flintlock signed "G. M. LOGIA", chiselled and decorated with brass-plated open-works featuring floral engravings; full stock of antique shape, chiselled with floral motifs and frame, with brass mounts featuring floral engravings. A rare and beautiful set from the property of a high ranked warrior dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Ottoman Empire Consisting in a khula-khud, a sipar, a bazu-band, a coat of mail, two points and two maces. Helmet with hemispherical skull, cusp of squared section at the top, on a base shaped as a truncated cone; sliding nose-piece, two plume-holders; all engraved and gilt. Decorated with six, big, richly carved and pierced cartouches at the base, featuring Arabic writings, provided with twenty-four smaller cartouches, pierced with floral motifs and with gold frame; featuring a copper leaf under the cartouches. Silver-plated, Arabic writings at the border the skull. Red cloth lining at the inside. Mail neck defense consisting in small rings with simple closure (missing parts). Height: 60 cm circa. Featuring a big, round and convex, iron sipar, provided with four studs engraved and gilt with floral motifs; decorated with nine cartouches at the center, together with twelve, smaller ones, all richly pierced with floral motifs and gold frames, with a thin, copper leaf below. Silver-inlaid, Arabic writings among four bands decorated with flowers at the border; brass support at the border. A red cloth lining at the inside, with an old label, four suspension rings. Diameter: 46.7 cm. Bass-band decorated en suite, featuring a stylized face at the top, complete with plaques to close it and with sword-shell (defects), Length: 55 cm. Coat of mail consisting in rings with simple lock, some missing parts; neck with lined cloth, provided with fringes. Height: 60 cm circa. Neck: 10 cm. Two trident heads, one with damask structure and Arabic writings, decorated with horned head, snakes and floral motifs (Height: 55 cm), the other one with socket featuring silver decorations an cusp engraved with floral motifs and silver and gold decorations (height: 54.5 cm). Two iron maces, one with horned head and remains of silver decorations (77.5 cm), the other one with bull head and remains of silver decorations. This set was on a wooden plate with velvet covering (see the picture). All those pieces were covered with a thick patina, so they have been removed from the table and accurately polished. Thanks to this polishing, the original gilding is now visible again. dimensions: dimensions varie cm.

A helmet with face mask dating: first quarter of the 20th Century provenance: Turkey Conical, brass skull strengthened by four bands, engraved with cartouche featuring Arabic writings, decorated with floral motifs at the bands, a copper face-mask at the front, engraved with Arabic writings and floral motifs, pierced eyes and nose. The border of the mask and the base of the helmet featuring protection, iron plates depicting feathers. Provided with lining at the inside. The external surface of the helmet finely engraved and carved, featuring floral frames with remains of gilt inlays enclosing plates richly decorated with a floral pattern; the lower band of the skull featuring cartouche, Arabic writings and remains of silver inlays. Chanfrin with sliding nose-piece between two plume-holders. A full man at arms armor dating: last quarter of the 16th Century provenance: Germany Fine helmet with truncated brim, skull hammered in one piece featuring a crest with twisted border at the center and provided with breaths at the back. Sight ribbed at the center, with cusps and rectangular eye-slots featuring highly relieved, lower border. On each side is a row of breaths provided with joint button-lock. Ribbed ventail with lowered edges and breaths. Sight and ventail with rectangular holes featuring a circle at the center on the right side and simple, round holes on the other. Ventail with joint button. Ribbed beaver; nape-guard and neck-guard with two blades. Remains of old padding inside the helmet. Gorget with two-blade, hinged plates; the neckline with roped border and decorated with notches. Ribbed chest, decorated with gleanings; pauldron small-plates and neckline with thick, twisted ropes; two-blade backpiece. Rivets with remains of brass covering at the back plate. Six-and seven-blade tassets. Complete brassards; ribbed crossbelts and provided with rope, elbow-pieces with twisted ropes, knuckle shield with six-blade back, missing fingers. Provided with complete legs and shoes. Very interesting, composite armor, with fine helmet, with great visual impact. Iron rivets. dimensions: height 175 cm.
A cavalry helmet dating: 17th Century provenance: Germany Light skull, in one piece, ribbed at the center and engraved, slightly damaged; chanfrin with raisable brim; beaver with neck-guard fixed by rivets and provided with fringed border; the nape-guard is fixed by rivets, border decorated en suite.
