A very rare poster, with only a handful in known existence. Huge (almost 9ft x 20ft) 1967 American Twenty-Four Sheet movie poster from "You Only Live Twice" features a combination of all three scenes created by Robert McGinnis for use on the stand-alone poster campaign; Connery in volcano, Connery in bathtub, Connery flying 'Little Nellie', and Connery in 'trademark 'Bond' pose with space helmet. Presented in twelve sections (designed to be joined together), this folded (as issued) poster is presented in very good unrestored and untouched original condition. A Japanese late Meiji period suite of model Samurai armour, made from gilt and lacquered wood, braiding and thin metal, with partial display stand, small skin rug which may be associated and original lacquered casketCondition: Overall looks to be fair to good, perhaps a little faded, possibly a finial missing from the top of the helmet, some slight oxidisation to some of the metalware, casket has wear to the lacquering, oxidisation to some of the metal work and has lost metal banding around three of the feet, along with some other motifs to the legs.

English Civil War Period, 17th Century Pikeman’s Pot Helmet, 2-piece skull with turned over seam along the ridge, broad brim with turned over border stamped with crowned JR mark (worn). Generally good condition, worn overall, a little damage. Following James II’s expansion of the Army all weapons, armour and munitions, including items made much earlier, were ordered to bear this mark.
Scarce .22” Warrior Side-Lever Cocking Air Pistol No. 1921, frame stamped THE “WARRIOR” MADE BY ACCLES & SHELVOKE Ltd BIRMINGHAM, and F. CLARKE’S PATENT No. BRIT. 351268 U.S.A. 538057, 2-piece chequered composition grips with helmet logo, adjustable rearsight, locking catch at rear of cocking bar. Overall 7.75”, barrel 7.25”. Good untouched condition, retains a little original finish overall.
A VICTORIAN COPY OF A GERMAN MAXIMILIAN CLOSE HELMET IN THE EARLY 16TH CENTURY STYLE, the bulbous skull with triple comb and broad collar mount, the hinged bellows visor with narrow vision slits and pierced with multiple tiny breaths, the two-piece hinged bevor with domed brass rivet decoration.
A 17TH CENTURY NORTH EUROPEAN HELMET, the two-piece riveted skull with incised linear decoration along the seam and radiating down to the brim, this of shallow stunted form with turned rim and brass domed decoration, the three lame articulated neck guard of almost horizontal position, the whole with domed brass rivets, adjustable nasal bar. Ear defences lacking and general wear and perforations.
A 19TH CENTURY COPY OF A NORTH EUROPEAN ZISCHAGGE OR LOBSTER TAILED HELMET, two piece skull with shallow turned comb and incised linear decoration, the elongated peak drawn out to a point with pierced shallow gully set with domed rivets and incised linear decoration, the four lame tail squared off and drawn to a peak and decorated to match, the two ear defences also decorated to match and with pierced and shaped hinges.

A Museum quality Vilanovan helmet made from two hammered bronze sheets, each with a flange to the upper edge and overlap at the flange and brim; the flanges beat to form the crest, the brim overlap pierced front and back by two round-section spikes; a band of holes to the brim and one offset above on each side; high relief punched geometric pattern and duck heads; Fine condition; intact; Footnote: an ornate example from Etruria in the British Museum, based on a Central European model, with accession number GR 1968.6-27.1. A rare bronze helmet raised from a single sheet, the bowl of domed form with two parallel corrugated ribs to the upper face, rectangular slot for the face, short flaring neck-guard developing behind the cheek-protectors. RODRIGUEZ DE LA VEGA PEDRO: (1940-1971) Mexican motor racing Driver. Rodríguez was killed during a car race in Nuremberg while he was driving for the lead at the wheel of a Ferrari. Rare D.S., being a contre-marque 5.5 x 8 page from the 29th Grand Prix of Monaco, May 1971. Signed in blue ink to a clear area across the page. The printed page lists the names of 12 pilots, including Pedro Rodriguez, Ronnie Peterson, Jean Pierre Beltoise, Rolf Stommelen, Chris Amon, Jo Siffert, Henri Pescarolo, etc.. The collector annotated beneath each name the drivers qualifying times. Less than two months later Rodriguez suffered the fatal accident. Autographs of Rodriguez de la Vega are rare in any form following his tragic early death at the age of 31. Attractive presentation, matted in black, alongside an unsigned 4 x 5.5 photograph of Rodriguez wearing his helmet and overalls, and a Monaco Grand Prix contemporary image of cover programme, to an overall of 16 x 12. F1 MONACO 1971-1972: Two very good and scarce multiple signed F1 program pages, one page each, 6 x 9, corresponding to the Monaco Grand Prix 1971 & 1972, each page showing photographs of the F1 racing drivers in head and shoulders poses. Signed to the 1971 program page by Joseph Siffert (1936-1971) Swiss racing driver, known as "Seppi". Signed only few months before dying at the early age of 35 during the 1971 Victory Race, having his car roll over after a crash and being caught under the burning vehicle. Also signed by Denny Hulme (1936-1992) New Zealand racing driver, nicknamed "The Bear". Signed to the 1972 program by Rolf Stommelen (1943-1983) German racing driver. Four times winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Stommelen was killed in a crash during the Los Angeles Times Grand Prix. Also signed by Emerson Fittipaldi (1946- ) Brazilian racing driver. Formula one world champion 1972 & 1974, and Henri Pescarolo (1942- ) French racing driver. Four times winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Together with Jacky Ickx (1945- ) Belgian racing driver. A six times winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Signed 10 x 12 folded photograph, the image depicting Ickx in his racing car wearing his helmet. All have boldly signed alongside or across their own images. Few small rain-water stains, otherwise G to VG £80-100
