Brass skull has an embossed laurel wreath centre & rear spine band, with the multi-piece helmet plate with “1” centred within a garter bearing the motto “HONI.SOIT.QUI.MAL.Y.PENSE” over a white metal-rayed star backing plate. The rose-shaped chin strap bosses support a graduated brass ring & leather backed chin scale. The quatrefoil plume spike bears a thin white horse hair plume surmounted by a rose boss. Interior shows a leather liner, with all tabs present, generally only service worn, with screw & nut attachment, with worn green leather underside of front visor. Very good condition for age and very presentable piece, with light dimpling to body.

1953+ era 1871 pattern British Army Household Cavalry Farrier’s parade helmet. Nickel skull has an embossed laurel wreath centre & rear spine band, with the multi-piece helmet plate with silver and gilt plated helmet badge which sports a Queen’s Crown, a silver 8-pointed Guards star with the cross of St. George and garter containing the famous motto: "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense". The rose-shaped chin strap bosses support a graduated brass ring & leather backed chin scale. The quatrefoil plume spike bears a guard star base, with full black horse hair plume surmounted by a rose boss. Interior shows a full service worn leather liner, all tabs present, with screw & nut attachment & leather to underside of front visor. 1902 – 1918 era 1878 pattern British Army officer’s blue cloth ‘Home Service’ helmet to the South Staffordshire Regiment by J & B Pearse & Co. London. Blue cloth felt covered cork bodied helmet with gilded brass fittings, very good, toned King’s Crown, multi piece gilt brass helmet plate with white metal regimental scroll & central sphinx to centre. Screw on toned spike fitting to the top of the helmet spike base, with rose side bosses & full chinstrap. Original leather sweatband with beige cotton backing to the interior, with maker rosette to underside of internal studded spike base. Very good or better condition overall.

WW2 British 1944 dated Mk3 paratroopers’ helmet by Briggs Motor Bodies. Features metal outer shell with matt green paint, showing normal scuff wear marks. 44 dated leather liner with manufacturers BMB stamp, sized 7 5/8. Retains leather chinstrap with chin cup. Superb condition.

WW2 German Army single decal M35 steel helmet by Emaillerwerke A.G. Fulda. Model 1935 steel helmet, with single Heer decal (90% present) to left side, with good dark filed grey coloured finish to body, with only light wear. Retains leather liner with all fingers present, showing good honest service, with leather chinstrap, maker stamped OTTO MULLER 1942, with original chord. Steel shell maker stamped EF62 (Emaillerwerke A.G. Fulda) and rear skirt number period painted over. This is a good mid-war refinished helmet.

Retains leather liner with all fingers present, showing good honest service use, with leather chinstrap, maker stamped for Franz Brehmer, with date 1943. Steel shell maker stamped ET66 (Eisenhüttenwerke, A.G. Thale) and 3765 to rear skirt. Retains collector tag detailing liner maker etc

Scarce WW2 German Luftwaffe air force single decal M38 paratrooper’s steel helmet. Model 1938 steel helmet, with the standard pre war toned dark green finish with single Luftwaffe decal (85% present), to left side, with some light wear and scratches. Early non vented slot bolts (4), being good and tight, with some associated oxidation spots to shell. Retains service leather liner with all leatherwork present, showing good honest service use, being ink stamped sized 59 and maker marked SZf (ink stamps worn to maker). Aluminium band frame, with dark grey padding material all present. Leather chinstrap assembly complete, with wartime style buckle. Steel shell maker stamped ET71 (Eisenhüttenwerke, A.G Thale) and 1.. to rear skirt (number stamps faint from re-issue paintwork). Very good desirable large size re-issue wartime helmet.

Internal Spanish pattern leather liner with leather ear chinstraps, internal head size 17cm x 19cm, size small. No badge, but with badge pin holes. Light wear overall.

WW2 Australian/British Cromwell/Brodie civil defence & electrician helmet. Features black plastic or Bakelite 2-piece body with metal slit rivets, adjustable canvas chin strap marked AEAG, internal liner complete and item in unissued condition. No makers mark, but typical Cromwell style, this type being used by electricians instead of the more dangerous metal protective headgear.

WW2 Australian/British fighter pilot type C leather flying helmet with training gosport speaking tube.Features supple leather with suede chamois interior in excellent condition with virtually all of the original finish and very light wear. All straps are excellent and retain the original coatings on the press studs. The lining is spotless clean indicating only light use. The chinstrap retains the light blue colour and has elasticity. The ear receivers are hollow and connected to a brass speaking tube.

Stamped Air Ministry rubber earpieces are in very good flexible condition and the interior of the helmet/inner chamois donuts is equally good. The chinstrap retains good colour and elasticity and the press stud poppers have virtually all of the original brown coating. Wired with a light brown coloured loom and black cased jack plug.

1960’s USAF pilots Gentex Scott helmet NSN 1660-00-440-5553. Features small size Gentex shell with Scott air mask attachments with red and yellow decals. Smooth moving clear and tinted visors. Inner black padding shows signs of age deterioration, with chinstrap complete.

1970’s era British Para Australian Army paratrooper’s uniform jump helmet. Fibreglass shell, painted dark green with normal surface scuff wear, with rivets to either side. Leather lined, with chinstraps, cork lined and maker tagged by Helmets LTD and sized 7 ½.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Papal States, Helmet with skull in boiled leather, gilded, brass mounts and chape. Front pelta-badge with inscription 'PIO IX' surmounted by the papal tiara, metallic cockade in two colors, reinforced chin-straps; no internal part, remains of leather band, label by 'Luigi Antonini'. A pair of gilded, metal epaulettes (one without fringes) with padded cloth. Gilded metal buckle with monogram of Civil Guard. Scarf with tassels marked 'G.C.'. height helmet 29 cm.

dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Austria, Metal skull, lacquered in black, with gilded mounts. A big badge on the front, with monogram 'F I' for Franz I. High comb, finely embossed with a lion, snake and laurel, front part with imperial eagle. Fine chenille in yellow and black wool. Wide chin-strap with engraved scales, the last with a mask, lateral lion's heads. Visor lacquered in green inside. Leather cap with golden decorations. Leather chin-strap. Well visible signs of use inside, small damages and parts missing. The rest in good conditions. Rare and beautiful helmet. height 36 cm.

dating: First Empire provenance: France, Straight, undulated double-edged blade, first part of hexagonal section, engraved and gilded with pandur, trophies and floral motifs on a blue ground until the foible. Extraordinary, gilded brass hilt, iron shell-guard with gilded brass mounts, a medallion in the center, with order of legione d'honneur on a mother-of-pearl ground, framed with laurel branches, upper part with two lion's heads with a snake in the jaws; guard with emperor and warrior busts among spiral, beaded and grooved bands, pommel shaped as lion's head, finely chiselled and decorated with foliage at the base; wooden grip, covered with mother-of-pearl grip scales, a gilded brass lozenge with emperor's bust on a copper ground on the right side, monogram 'FG' on the opposite, lateral medallion with a turreted lion's head (city of Lyon) among the foliage decorations in bass-relief. Complete with leather scabbard with gilded brass mounts (slightly abraded), engraved with floral and geometrical motifs, hook with a helmet. length 95 cm.

dating: last quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Prussia, Leather skull with angled visor. Gilded brass mounts. A dragoon's eagle in the front, with enameled escutcheon with a crowned scepter. Smooth spike on a cross-base complete with its thick hackle in black horsehair. Chin-strap with convex scales. Complete with both cockades. Morocco leather inside and silk cap. Beautiful and scarce helmet. height 32 cm.

dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Prussia, Skull, visor and neck-guard in blackened leather with silver mounts. Guard's eagle in front, with partially enameled star of the black eagle's order under a bandeau 'SEMPER TALIS', grooved chape on a disk-base, chin-strap with flat scale on both cockades. Morocco leather inside and cap in green silk. Excellent and scarce helmet in fine patina, a part the small areas with craquele in very good conditions. height 26 cm.

dating: Late 16th Century provenance: Brescia, Wooden body, shaped as a truncated cone but flat on the back. Front surface covered with leather, richly adorned in bass-relief, divided in three, decorative lists: the central with one shield surmounted by a knightly helmet with crest with a rampant lion, the two lateral lists with vine branches. The three lists surrounded by frames, in relief. Borders reinforced with iron band, held by the nails. Back and ground with parts of the leather missing. Iron belt hook. Almost cylindrical fuse, in iron, with external spring latch. height 21 cm.

dating: 17th Century provenance: Northern Italy, Iron body, flat on the back, front part enlarged at the base and of semicircular section. Fuse with octagonal, pilaster-shaped neck, with moulded decorations, no latch. Upper part covered with a thick, brass band, engraved and with festooned border, with a fine mask at the two ends, with a lug. Lower part covered with a similar frame, festooned, pierced and engraved with lilies so as the upper one and featuring masks on sides, no lug. A thick, brass plate in the center, featuring a heraldic emblem, surmounted by a knight's helmet. Malta Cross and three lilies above on the shield. An iron belt hook on the back. height 20 cm.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Bavaria, Small sword of the Order. Straight blade of lenticular section, engraved with floral motifs. Silver hilt, quillon block with St. George with dragon in relief on the right side and floral motifs on the other. Pierced quillons. Pommel with plumed helmet. Wooden grip with mother-of-pearl grip scales, the front one with a trophy, a medallion in the center with plaque of the order of St. George in blue and red enamels. Complete with wooden scabbard, lacquered in white, with silver mounts, decorated with floral motifs. Two suspension rings. Very scarce. In patina. length 80 cm.

dating: 18th Century provenance: Barcelona, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 17 mm cal. barrels, first octagonal with two marks, round after the rings and acanthus leaves (one with old restore); engraved tangs; locks finely engraved with a lion and floral motifs, signed 'SN ANACH'; wooden, full stocks with iron mounts, engraved en suite, butt-plates with a bust with helmet. Missing ramrods. length 45 cm.

dating: 1860-70 provenance: Bruxelles, Rifled, two-stage, 12 mm cal. barrel, in damask, octagonal first part, finely chiselled with floral motifs on a dark ground, then round with fore-sight and decorations engraved at the nozzle; tangs with lever, decorated en suite, that open the chamber to insert the cartridges and automatically charge the pistol, cover marked in gold 'J. Montigny arq.r du Roi des Pys-Bas a Bruxelles'; wooden stocks, embossed with floral motifs and scales, mounts decorated en suite. Butt-plates carved in iron with a soldier's head with partially engraved helmet. Brass-tipped iron ramrods. length 45.5 cm.

dating: early 17th Century provenance: Italy, Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, grooved first part with inscriptions with letters 'MONOVC' and 'NOVOMC', grooved ricasso and with deep stamp on both sides. Iron hilt with six pas d'ane rings, two shell-guards on the lower one, finely chiselled and pierced with a face in high-relief among floral motifs. 'S'-quillons, loop-guard with two support arms. Big pommel, majestically chiselled with two warrior faces with helmet among engraved floral decorations. Wooden grip, covered with iron wire binding and moor's heads. Rare, perfectly balanced sword. length 127.5 cm.

dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Europe, With iron lobster-tailed helmet, provided with sliding nose-piece, three-plated nape-guard and mobile cheek-piece. Iron breast-plate in two plates with hinged back-plate; file-roped neckline. Three-plated tassets with a segment in decorative mail neck-defense and hemmed borders. Brassards complete with pauldrons. Full-leg defense with cuissards with file-roped upper border and sabatons. height circa 180 cm.

Yeats, was a talented embroiderer who studied under May Morris, the daughter of William, before moving back to Ireland and setting up the Cuala Press with her sister Elizabeth.

This remarkable and graphically strong poster shows the most famous resident of Tongeren, namely the imposing bronze statue of Eburonenkoning Ambiorix from 1866 on the Tongeren Grote Markt, which honors the memorable victory over the Romans in 54 BC. Caesar the Belgians the bravest of all Gauls. Ambiorix poses in Germanic costume, with a battle ax and a dragon helmet. The icon is set in a pop art style of bold purple and olive green tones. Condition: Very good condition, minor stains at edges. Country of printing: Belgium, designer: M. Mathieu, size (cm): 80.5x60, year of printing: 1950s.

An impressive unboxed Knight figure polished metal sculpture, standing approximately 67cm tall and mounted on a wooden stand, with padded 'body', moving parts which include the helmet visor and also includes a detachable sword, appears G+/VG.

A Japanese late Meiji period suite of model Samurai armour, made from gilt and lacquered wood, braiding and thin metal, with partial display stand, small skin rug which may be associated and original lacquered casketCondition: Overall looks to be fair to good, perhaps a little faded, possibly a finial missing from the top of the helmet, some slight oxidisation to some of the metalware, casket has wear to the lacquering, oxidisation to some of the metal work and has lost metal banding around three of the feet, along with some other motifs to the legs.

English Civil War Period, 17th Century Pikeman’s Pot Helmet, 2-piece skull with turned over seam along the ridge, broad brim with turned over border stamped with crowned JR mark (worn). Generally good condition, worn overall, a little damage. Following James II’s expansion of the Army all weapons, armour and munitions, including items made much earlier, were ordered to bear this mark.

Scarce .22” Warrior Side-Lever Cocking Air Pistol No. 1921, frame stamped THE “WARRIOR” MADE BY ACCLES & SHELVOKE Ltd BIRMINGHAM, and F. CLARKE’S PATENT No. BRIT. 351268 U.S.A. 538057, 2-piece chequered composition grips with helmet logo, adjustable rearsight, locking catch at rear of cocking bar. Overall 7.75”, barrel 7.25”. Good untouched condition, retains a little original finish overall.

15th Century Style Steel Beevor Neck Guard for Wearing Below the Sallet Type Helmet, line of holes along the bottom edge for attaching a liner and holes either side for a leather strap to go around the back of the neck. Lightly rusted over.
