A KOREAN MILITARY UNIFORM, 20TH CENTURY The helmet with a tall jade enamelled and horse hair finial and with gilt dragon and phoenix appliqués and a fur-lined cowl, the red fabric tunic embellished with brass, studs and further gilt metal appliqués, together with a pair of felt boots and a black lacquered fitted case. Provenance: from the collection of John Newall Esq.
WWII Militaria collection attributed to Capt. Raoul Charles Francois LLOYD (later Major R.C.F. Lloyd) 421415 RASC (Royal Army Service Corps) including two trunks, two jackets, two pairs of trousers, two pairs of boots, uniform accessories, German helmet (possibly captured). Both jackets have shoulder patches for 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division (Polar Bear).

Various cap badges including Warwickshire, 2nd Volunteers Battalion helmet plate, 3rd Gloucestershire Volunteers white metal cap badge, King's Shropshire Light Infantry etc, 4 West German beret badges, French Naval kepi, medal ribands, stamps, cigarette cards and other items (a carton)
*Pickelhaube. A WWI Imperial German Pickelhaube helmet, with leather skull, spike top and pressed metal helmet plate, black and white cockade and black white and red cockade, leather chin strap and original lining, inscribed in ink on the sweatband 'Taken from German Infantryman at Villiers Bretneaux by W.H. Herbert, A / B? The Bays, Aug 8th 1918', the underside of the neck rim bears the initials 'A.R.' additionally stamped 'FSAR 16', 23.5cm long During the 5 to 7 August 1918 the regiment marched to the front line ready to follow up the offensive launched by the allied forces. The artillery barrage opened at 04.20 on 8 August with The Bays moving forward from Longeau just outside Amiens, they sheltered by 05.20 in some woods West of Villiers Brettoneax, the A & B Squadrons were sent forward and by 07.40 both Squadrons had advanced along the line of the Amiens - Peronne - St Quentin Road, this picklehaube is a war souvenir from this action. A Great War Type "A" Brodie steel helmet, with painted decal of the 72nd Field Ambulance, 24th Division, with original lining and leather chin strap The 24th Division were formed in September 1914 and served on the Western Front from 28 August 1915, they served heavily in the Battle of Loos (25/26 September 1915) and other significant battles. *WWII relic. A German M42 steel helmet circa 1944, found on Pegasus Bridge, retaining liner and apple green paint finish, stamped HKP 64 (Sachsische Emaillier u. Stanzwerk) serial number 3873, rear painted 'Pegasus Bridge, dug up by the River Orne June 1970' Pegasus Bridge in Normandy was the scene of fierce fighting on the dawn of D-Day in operation Dropstick when attacked by the glider forces of the British 6th airborne units. The area was garrisoned by 736th Grenadier Regiment, 716th Infantry Division. (1)
