ALBION BIRKS FOR MINTONS; a pair of c.1900 porcelain pate-sur-pate decorated vases of slender baluster form, stylised gilt twin handles, each decorated with a roundel, one depicting a man's head in a helmet surmounted with a dragon, the other depicting a young woman's head, on blue ground, within a bead gilt border, both signed "BIRKS", decorated in enamels with floral and foliate motifs to both sides, on spreading circular bases with printed marks in puce, also inscribed "1153", height 20.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both appear to be in very good apart from areas of crazing to glaze and some rubbing to the gilt.
