Three horizontal loops to reverse. VGCIn 1881 attached to the KRRC as a volunteer battalion, 1882 transferred to the Middlesex Regt. and finally becoming 3rd VB Royal Fusiliers in March 1890.
1st VB Royal Berkshire Regiment Victorian OR’s helmet plate circa 1885-1901. A good die-stamped white metal example. Crowned star bearing laurel sprays and applied circlet inscribed ‘ROYAL BERKSHIRE 1ST VOLR. BATTN.’ ; Stag and Oak to voided centre. One loop absent, two period replacment loops to reverse. VGC1st Berkshire RVC became a VB of the Regiment on 1st July 1881 being redesignated as 1st VB on 1st December 1882. The Regiment were granted the title “Royal” on 29th September 1885. HQ was at Reading.
Royal Irish Regiment Officer’s helmet plate circa 1901-04.A good rare, short-lived gilt example. Crowned star mounted with laurel sprays and Garter; the crimson velvet centre bearing silver crowned Harp resting in shamrock sprays. Mounted on the base of the laurel, a silver scroll ‘The Royal Irish’. Three loops to reverse. VGCIn 1904 the scroll was altered to “The Royal Irish Regiment” and the central harp device changed its design to KK 234

A Victorian hallmarked silver helmet-shaped jug on square stepped base, London 1898, height 13cm, a boxed set of six Chinese silver mustard/preserve spoons marked 'Silver', a George V cased set of six hallmarked silver teaspoons, Sheffield 1918, a cut glass sifter with hallmarked silver top and a cut glass perfume bottle with hallmarked silver top, various marks, approx weighable 6.4ozt (5).
Germany - Kriegsmarine Naval Officer's Dagger by Weyersburg & Kirschbaum - Solingen (Kriegsmarine Offiziersdolch). A well-preserved Kriegsmarine officer?s dagger constructed of a 25.1 cm-long nickel-plated steel blade, both sides feature two blood groves, on the reverse ricasso, a maker?s mark reading ?WKC? along with the profile of a knight?s helmet, indicating this dagger was manufactured by Weyersburg & Kirschbaum, Solingen, blade with felt spacer, the blade attaches to the 12.5 cm-long handle through the brass upper cross-guard which bears decorative anchors, In the upper cross-guard sits a fully-functioning blade release button, with the catch set flush into the blade allowing the dagger to remain securely in the scabbard when not in use. The grip is constructed of beautifully preserved ivory-coloured celluloid with seven rows of tightly-wrapped woven brass wire in the creases of the grip. The pommel is constructed of a brass Reichsadler (National Eagle), with the eagle gripping a wreathed swastika, the scabbard, measuring 29.0 cm in length, is constructed of brass, set into the scabbard are two brass loops attached to oak leaf wreaths allowing the unit to be suspended from a uniform.
A believed Lt Müller German WWII M42 helmet - Channel Islands Occupation interest with covered up/scratched off double decal variation to the sides, retaining original leather inner, size (56), the helmet with painted name and number to inner 'Lt Müller 73220'.* Provenance: from an Alderney resident's collection of Occupation artifacts.** Lager Sylt, SS concentration camp in Alderney from March 1943 until June 1944, the only one on UK soil. *** Condition: Missing strap. Decals to sides scratched off. Otherwise good with good paint overall and leather inner in good condition.
