A rare and complete three-quarter horse armor dating: last quarter of the 16th Centuryprovenance: GermanySnap-fit helmet with skull in one piece and short, twisted comb, two holes at the top, tapering plume-holder with decorated border and a pair of holes; raisable brim, pointed and ribbed ventail provided with air holes depicting rosettes on the right side; still on the right is a lever which raises the ventail and a closing hook with pressure button; beaver with closing hook and border with hemmed, fit-in slot (a small, old reparation on the left). Three-plate gorget with roping for the helmet. Chest-plate ribbed at the centre with hemmed neckline and gussets, decorated with elegant grooves as the the knee-cops are. The back-plate en suite with recessed borders and hemmed margins, one-plate culet. Complete brassards with outlined plated and twisted borders. Gauntlets with long cuffs with four scaled fingers (one finger detached, but easy to repair). Wide and fine poleyns complete with knee-cops. Scarce, homogeneous and coeval armour in all its parts. On a iron pedestal with octagonal, wooden base.dimensions: height 135 cm.

At the inside the leather sweatband, the handwritten signature "Bimboni Giovanni 83"; cap is missing.dimensions: height 31 cm.
