Crowned star mounted with laurel sprays and Garter; black velvet centre bearing silver Prince of Wales’s plumes etc. Mounted on the base of the laurel, a silver scroll ‘Prince of Wales’s Leinster Regiment’. Centrally a pierced strap ‘Per mare per Terram’ set on a blue enamel ground; to the centre, a silver globe in relief. Three loops to reverse. Slight service wear. Gilt toned . GC

Large flaming grenade; the ball bearing laurel sprays surmounted by ‘Gibraltar’. strap inscribed ‘Per Mare Per Terram’ encircles central globe in relief. Fouled anchor to base. Two loops to reverse. VGC (KK 1106) Worn until 1905 when the white helmet was adopted.
Boer War 1902 Peace Statue. An unusual bronze patina spelter statue, depicting Lord Roberts wearing uniform and sun helmet leaning forward to shake the hand of a Boer. The two men stand on a base in the form of Africa, the underside with a registration number “Rd No. 337814”. Height 5 inches

Royal Arms with scroll below inscribed ‘Middlesex Engineer Volunteers’, between the Royal Arms and scroll, an additional scroll inscribed ‘First’. Two loops to reverse. GC Formed 6th January, 1860 by the staff of the South Kensington Museum. HQ at 67, College Street, Fulham Road. London. Hon.Col. Field Marshal Sir J.L.A. Simmons.

To the base of the wreath, an applied silver tri-part scroll ‘Royal Guernsey Militia’ surmounted by silver strung bugle with ‘3’. Across the top of the wreath a silver scroll ‘Diex Aie’’. Australia. Southern Tasmanian Volunteer Artillery Victorian OR’s helmet plate circa 1880. A fine scarce die-stamped white metal example. Royal Arms, a scroll below inscribed ‘Southern’; below the scroll, a gun resting on a scroll inscribed ‘Tasmanian Volunteer Artillery’. Three loops (pinched) to reverse. VGC Raised in 1880 at Hobart under the command of Captain E. L. Crowther; equipped with two breech-loading 12 pound howitzers and two 32 pounder guns on field carriages.
7th Queen’s Own Light Dragoons Miniature Portrait of an Officer Circa 1793 by Michael Bartlett (1922-2008) This is an outstanding quality miniature water colour on ivorne depicting an Officer of the Regiment, wearing dark blue short coatee with white facings. He holds his Tarleton helmet to his right hand and to his left his 1796 pattern sword. Signed “MB RMS 1998”. iFitted into a gilt glazed frame. Overall size 5 x 4 inches.
Lanarkshire Yeomanry Officer’s helmet circa 1884-1910. A very fine and extremely scarce example following the design of the 1878 Infantry pattern Home Service Helmet. Skull of dark blue cloth in four panels, front peak edged with gilt metal; gilt metal cross piece, spike and spine. Circular thistle ornamented bosses bearing double headed eagles support a leather backed chin chain. To the front, a fine gilt helmet plate, with oval gilt strap inscribed “Lanarkshire Yeomanry”; to the centre, on a burnished gilt ground, a silver double headed eagle. To the interior a leather sweatband topped with crimson silk edging. VGC Gilt bright. ... Complete with original metal storage tin (2 items)
14th Middlesex (Inns of Court) Victorian Officer’s Home Service Pattern Grey Cloth Helmet circa 1880-1901. A very good and rare example. Rifle grey cloth mounted with blackened silvered crosspiece, spike, gimp chin chain and rosettes. To the front a Maltese cross blackened regimental helmet plate with central stung bugle, enclosing “14”. The interior with leather sweatband, with crimson silk edging. Also retaining tailor’s details of J & B Pearce & CO. VGC. Raised as 23rd Middlesex in 1859 and renumbered 14th Middlesex in 1880.
Royal Horse Guards George VI Period Trooper’s helmet. A good worn example. The nickel skull with bi-metal King’s Crown helmet plate to front. To each side, a gilded rose head boss supports the leather backed chin chain. A silvered plume holder to the crown supports a scarlet plume. Complete with its original leather lining, the inner neck peak with details RHG 65. The overall condition is good, small working dents to the skull and a dent to the King’s Crown of the badge.Point of front peak AF.

Victorian 5th Dragoon Guards Trooper’s Albert pattern helmet. A scarce example, the brass skull with ornate plume holder of gilt metal supporting a scarlet and white plume, with gilt rose boss. To the front, a regimental pattern helmet plate, with oval gilt metal strap inscribed “P.C.W. Dragoon Guards”; VR Cypher to centre. Both the front and back peaks are ornamented with applied acanthus leaves. Rose bosses support a leather backed chin chain. The interior with original brown leather liner. The overall condition is good.
WW2 London District Home Guard Unit Marked Steel Helmet. A rare “Tommy” pattern steel helmet retaining original painted finish to the metal shell. This with a painted wreath surmounted by “HG”, enclosing “S Zone”, with “LD” below. Complete with 1940 dated helmet liner and chinstrap. The helmet marking would indicate Home Guard S Zone London District. The S zone was the North West district under the control of Middlesex TA and AF Association HQ.
5th (Princess Charlotte of Wales’s) Dragoon Guards 1871 pattern Trooper’s helmet. A good example. The gilt brass skull decorated with laurel leaves; to the front a white metal star with applied brass Garter; white metal “5” to black leather centre. A fluted brass spike supports a white over red regimental pattern horsehair plume with rose boss. Rose head boss’s supports the leather lined brass chin chain. Complete with leather liner. Overall GC some dents to the shell, please note plume fits, but shaft is short, therefore plume not secured. .
WW2 Special Operations Executive SOE Agent’s Jump Helmet & Goggles. A rare example of the camouflage padded helmet, of the pattern used to drop agents into occupied Europe during WW2. This example retains leather rear strap and press studs. The helmet remains in good clean condition, but please note some oxidising to metal studs. ... Accompanied by the correct pattern goggles, these retaining the elasticised strap. The goggles with small amount of storage wear (2 items)

The helmet plate of gilt brass, bearing the Honours “Peninsula, Waterloo, Cohrde”. The interior with lining and issue stamps. Retaining National & State cockades. Good original condition, retains a good shape.
WW1 Imperial Baden Reserve Regiment 112 Other Rank’s Pickelhaube. A good example, with brass fittings to the spike, edge trimming, rear spin and original chinstrap. The helmet plate of gilt brass. The interior with lining and issue stamps including “JR112” and dated 1907. The interior with original owners name label. Retaining National & State cockades. Good original condition, retains a good shape.
WW1 Imperial German Prussian State Pickelhaube A good regimentally marked example, of polished black leather skull, with brass metal fittings. Complete with both National and Prussian State cockades, which support a brass scaled strap. To the front a Prussian helmet plate. The interior retaining original leather lining. The rear peak interior stamped “T.B.2 1905” (Train Battalion 2). Overall GC slight shrinkage, brass studs absent to brass edging. (Edging present)
26th Middlesex (Customs) Rifle Volunteers Victorian OR’s helmet plate circa 1878-80. A good scarce short-lived die-stamped blackened brass example. Crowned Maltese cross, lions between the arms, bearing circlet ‘26th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers’; strung bugle to voided centre. Three loops to reverse. VGC Originally raised in 1860 by Customs Officers in the London Docks, renumbered 15th Middlesex RV in 1880 becoming a VB of the Rifle Brigade in 1881; amalgamated with 2nd Tower Hamlets to form 17th Bn. London Regiment in 1908.

Crowned Maltese cross, lions between the arms, bearing circlet ‘First Lanarkshire R.V.C’ with strung bugle to voided centre. Three original loops to reverse. with oval maker’s tablet. WW2 RAF D Type Early Pattern Flying Helmet. A very good example issue to a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The helmet is the early pattern tailored for exterior wiring and the D type canvas oxygen mask. This example fitted with earphones (wiring absent), also with the ink number of the original owner “NZ415632”. Overall slight wear, near VGC.
1st (Tonbridge) VB East Kent Regiment Victorian Officer’s helmet plate circa 1883-1901. A good scarce die-stamped blackened example with burnished silver highlights. Crowned Maltese cross, lions between the arms; bearing circlet inscribed “East Kent Rifles1st Volr. Battn.”; White Horse of Kent on “Invicta” scroll to voided centre. Three loops to reverse. Horse detached but present otherwise VGC. Originally raised at Ramsgate as 2nd Kent RVC on 19th September 1859, after numerous changes in title (part of Cinque Ports RV’s) and amalgamations, it emerged in 1874 as 5th Kent (East Kent) RVC with HQ at Canterbury; redesignated as 2nd on 3rd September 1880, it became a VB of the Buffs on Friday 1st July 1881; redesignated 1st VB 1st May 1883.

Mounted on the base of the sprays, a gilt scroll ‘The Leicestershire Regiment’ with supplementary scroll below ‘1st Volunteer Battalion’. Three loops to reverse. VGC HQ at Leicester.
