A George III silver, helmet-shaped sauce boat, the wavy rim and s-scroll handle on later decorated body, raised on three shell-capped hoof feet, hallmarked for London, 1761, maker's mark for James Morrison. 9¼oz troy (288g); together with a Victorian silver sauce-boat, the plain body with wavy rim, marks rubbed, 4½oz troy (143g). Breast-plate ribbed at the center with relieved tapul, decorated with lowered, iron-grey bands and blackened, relieved surfaces; neck-collar en suite. Neckline and pauldron small-plates provided with a thick, twisted rope and featuring the Nuremberg stamp; three-blade backpiece. Tassets en suite, each one featuring seven blades and roped lowered edge., height circa 130 cm.
