LURISTANIAN DECORATIVE ARMOUR PLATE SECTION. A piece of embossed bronze plate, probably an ear flap from a helmet; Luristanian origin with a depiction of two camels grazing. The size is @ 5 ½ x 3 inches across the widest point, there are two holes on the top edge presumably for a hinge. A rare piece, very little Luristanian armour was decorated to this standard. 180-240
ENGLISH CIVIL WAR EXCAVATED SWORD BLADE. A sword blade dating from the early part of the C17th, believed to have been found on the banks of the River Seven in Worcestershire in the 1970’s. Small loss to the very tip but otherwise complete and in sound condition. This blade was also found with the remains of a Civil War helmet, the find spot was at the point where the defeated Royalist forces fleeing from the defeat at the battle of Worcester were attempting to cross the Severn at the narrowest part to avoid Bewdley Bridge.
