Rectangle khaki cloth patch. On the orange round shield, framed by a black border, a hussar helmet and hussar’s wings are inscribed. Wing’s feathers separated by a white thread. This badge was worn on the left shoulder of the uniform jacket as the symbol of the 1st Polish Armored Division, called “Squirrel” by British soldiers. Sewn with jacquard technics, most possibly in occupied Germany, so-called “BeVo” style. Size 64mm x 37mm.

Ca. 500-300 BC. A helmet of hammered bronze. The domed crown with frontal medial ridges, contoured double curve above the brow continuing as an occipital rib around the helmet. Moveable articulated crescentic cheeky guards with contoured edges are attached by hinges on the sides. The Chalcidian-Type helmet started to replace the Corinthian-type helmet on the battlefield in the 5th century BC due to its restrictive attributes. The new versatile Chalcidian form of battle helmet enabled the owner to adapt on the battlefield. The Chalcidian helmet enabled greater sensory perception as the helmet was lighter and made in with senses in mind. By the time of the Peloponnesian War (434-402 BC) the Chalcidian helmet was the most widely distributed helmet in the Greek ranks. Good condition. Ca. 1368-1644 AD, or later. A ceramic figure depicting an elegant horse standing atop of integral flat base, with its neck stretching forward and its tail flowing over one hind quarter. The intricate detailing of the horse's trappings, including the bridle and breastplate, saddle blanket, and breeching, are molded in the round and colored in a stunning green glaze. The warrior rider is shown dressed in a full armour in green and yellow and wearing a black helmet. His head is detachable. This ceramic figure belongs to the mingqi tradition, which played a significant role in Ming Dynasty burial practices. These tomb figurines were meant to accompany the deceased into the afterlife and provide them with a retinue of attendants and officials. Ca. late 19th early - 20th century AD. Masonic sword for the "Knights Templar" order ceremony, with scabbard, offered to Irvin S. Smith, Ricasso marked: HORSTMANN PHILADELPHIA. The pommel is in the form of a knight’s helmet, handle with the cross, on the guard. The double-edged blade is heavily etched with medieval knights, crosses, and more. The metal scabbard is decorated with beautiful embossed decor. The Knights Templar, full name The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes, and Malta, is a fraternal order affiliated with Freemasonry. Masonic Order of Knights Templar derives its name from the medieval Catholic military order Knights Templar. However, it does not claim any direct lineal descent from the original Templar order. Ca. 17th century AD. A cone shape skull with a high peak and a ridge in the front and back sides of the skull. Horizontal visor with a hole for a narrow bent face guard, adjusted with a screw. Visor is fixed to the skull with rivets. Triangle cheek guards, fastened to the skull with leather (later?). Cheek guards decorated with circle of holes and intercrossing lines. Neck guard from movable lames, widening towards the end. This type of helmet was used by Polish-Lithuanian and Hungarian hussars in the 17th century. Cone shape skull is derived from Turkish fashion. Despite that the Ottoman empire in that period was a deadly enemy of both states, there was an active interaction and influence on arms and armour fashion. CO. CHICOPPEE MASS" Brass scabbard with two suspension rings, decorated with engraved cross and inscription "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES" ("In this sign, thou shalt conquer"). Condition: Very good. The top or the face guard ends with flame – shape flat end, bottom – with rivet, restricting taking out of the guard. Cheek guards of an interesting shape, with eight holes. Neck guard from three movable lames. Unusual helmet, most probably belonging to 17th-century hussars of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, but also could be of German origin.
