WW1 British Steel Helmet Re-issued to WW2 Civilian Defence, interesting example of a Great War raw edge brodie helmet which has been overpainted in black and re-issued in 1941. The helmet has period fitted WW2 pattern liner which is dated 1940 and complete with its webbing chinstrap. Some paint loss to the exterior but generally a very good example.
Obsolete Pattern George VI Kent Constabulary Helmet, being a blue cloth covered cork helmet with blackened night pattern helmet plate to the centre. Rosette top. Interior with leather sweatband and thin pattern chinstrap. Accompanied by an obsolete pattern EIIR City of London police officers helmet with blackened badge to the centre. WW2 British Steel Combat Helmet, fine example of a standard pattern British steel combat helmet. Retains much of its original combat paint finish to the exterior. To one side is a crudely painted combined operations insignia, possibly applied post-war. Interior retains the original 1939 dated liner system and webbing chinstrap.

A group of four Worcester cream jugs circa 1770-1800 comprising a Flight's Worcester helmet-shaped jug transfer-printed in the Fence pattern, impressed mark and blue crescent, 12cm high; further blue and white sparrow beak transfer-printed in the Three Flowers and Butterfly pattern, crescent mark, 9.5cm high and two polychrome floral jugs, unmarked, 8.5cm and 10cm high (4) (restored) Provenance: Ex. After the Antique, a pair of composition moulded busts of warriors, each on polished marble plinths, 40.5 cm and 43.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Other than being dirty both busts are in generally very good order. There are no significant losses, cracks or damage. The bearded figure has a chip to the front edge of the helmet and other minor abrasions around the extremities particularly on the epaulettes. The second figure again has minor nibbles around the sharp edges of the upper part of the body and the top of the headdress but no significant problems.
A pair of Royal Dux figures, modelled as male and female Roman soldiers, early 20th century, each wearing a plumed helmet and holding a shield decorated with the head of Medusa and standing upon circular bases, impressed marks to the underside 2165 and 2166. Height 46.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The male figure appears to be in very good order with no condition issues. We can see no signs of any damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is very slight rubbing to the gilding and the figure is a little dirty in places. The female figure is in similarly good condition.

A Royal Hussars Army helmet late of Colonel Harvey Alexander DSO, Brevet Colonel in the 10th Hussars in the Boer War, the japanned case for the same (no plume)/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: The red fabric is badly mothed, gilt braids are faded and uneven, the fur is patched in places, the crown leather again moth holes and perished areas. Japanned tin is in poor condition.
