The presentation reads `Presented by His Highness Sir Jaswant Singjee, K.C.S.I. Takhoor Saheb of Bhownuggur Kattywak Race Meeting January. 1869. Won By`. Bhaunagar, or Bhavnagar, was a native state of India in the Kathiawar agency, Bombay. The maharaja or Takur Sahib from 1854 to 1870 was Sir Jashwantsinhji Bhavsinhji (1827-1870) of the famous clan of the Gohel Rajputs of Kathiawar.
