AN EDWARDIAN SILVER MONTIETH TROPHY BOWL of dished circular form with shaped and rolled rim, the plain tapering body engraved with presentation inscription ‘Presented by Mrs Rickinson 1916 Imperial Ladies Swimming Club 50 yards Junior Members Championship’, raised on a short stem and stepped circular foot, marks for Chester 1908, rubbed maker’s mark, the turned and ebonised stand with applied white metal winners’ shields. 19cm(h) 620grams.
Victorian silver trophy cup of classic form, acanthus scroll surround to the plain body, leaf capped scroll handle, knopped stem leading to a circular footed base. Hallmarked Elkington & Co (Frederick Elkington) London 1876. Height measuring 14 inches (36 cm), weight 39 ozt (1223 grams). Condition: Overall the trophy cup would benefit from a clean and polish with noticeable surface tarnishing, there are generals scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The trophy has been previously engraved, a presentation engraving just visible to one side-however the metal does not feel thin as common place with the removal of engravings it is therefore likely the engraving has been filled. There are some small shallow dents around the body. The hallmarks are clear and legible.

Together with three further Victorian and later silver miniature trophies, a silver napkin ring, a cased set of three silver plated open salts, one deficient, and a silver rectangular pin tray, at fault. Art Nouveau presentation cup, the circular shallow bowl with personal inscriptions and engraved with the names and dates of the recipients from 1934 to 1966, the body with three elongated high arch handles and raised above a domed circular base. Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd London 1910. Height including handle measuring 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), weight 26 ozt (811 grams). `Manchester Dog Show Society Presented by Major J.H. Wright` `Cheetham Hill Canine Society Presented By J.H. Wright President 1912` Condition: The trophy cup displays general scratches, marks and noticeable tarnishing. There has been a noticeable repair to the centre of the stem, visible as creases to the silver, floods of solder and a small hole is visible. The body wobbles slightly on the base. The hallmarks are clear and legible.

Neil Ltd, the large circular body with applied Celtic banded decoration, personal presentation engraving, and raised above a spread foot. Hallmarked Dublin 1922. Height measuring 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), gross approximate weight 90 ozt (2560 grams.).The engraving reads `The British Bowlers Association. Ladies Club Competition. (Perpetual Trophy). Presented by Messieurs Ansells Brewery Co. Ltd.` Condition: Overall the trophy appears in good condition commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The makers mark appears miss-struck/double struck, the hallmarks are clear and legible. Remnants of old polish to the recesses. To the bottom rim underside there is a section measuring 2 cm where it has been a noticeably filed -probably for a metal test.
Nineteenth century white metal Indian trophy cup, made by P. Orr & Sons, Madras. The bulbous part gilded body with fluted sections each stippled with scroll embossing, the body supported by scroll handles and mounted above stylised animal supports and further raised above a circular foot with beaded rims and wooden plinth with winners plaque.
