dating: circa 1800 provenance: Germany, Large, curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with slightly hollow facets, with remains of finishing at the forte and gilded engravings portraying cabbalistic symbols, trophies, a character; the base with other cabbalistic inscriptions on a gilded ground. Silver quillon (damages and parts missing). Ivory grip, finely embossed with a lion's head at the pommel, with remains of red-colored elements. A silver escutcheon on two facets, with an engraved trophy, silver ring-nut with rocaille. length 67 cm.
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Curved, single -and false-edged blade with double groove; fine, gilt bronze hilt, the quillon-block decorated with trophies, the cap with interesting trophy depicting a double-headed eagle on flags and mask on shield, instruments and arms; guard and quillon decorated with bas-relieved floral motifs; twisted, horn grip with metallic wire binding. Iron scabbard with decorated, gilt brass mounts. length 93 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Curved, flat, single-edged blade, in damask. Silver hilt, richly decorated with floral motifs and with a trophy in bass-relief, horn grip scales, with angled and faceted pommel. Wooden scabbard covered with ray-skin, polished and painted in green (small parts missing). Beautiful, gilded, silver mounts, finely engraved with trophies and floral motifs, with various Arabic stamps. Two suspension rings. length 96 cm.

A .700 CALIBRE AUSTRIAN FLINTLOCK RIFLE BY IOH QUALEC IN WIENN, DATED 1720 with fine sighted barrel rifled with seven grooves, the muzzle finely chiselled as a gaping monsterhead, the octagonal forward section signed and dated, tapering breech chiselled with a trellis design of foliage on a punched ground and fitted with a pair of low standing back-sights, tang engraved with a mask, bevelled lock chiselled with trophies-of-arms and scrolls on a punched ground, fitted with bevelled lock decorated with further scrolls, finely carved full stock moulded over the fore-end, decorated with scrolling foliage and scalloped designs behind the rear ramrod-pipe, ahead of the trigger-guard and about the tang, the butt carved en suite, with raised cheek-piece inlaid with an engraved star in contrasting panels of horn and bone, the rear portion carved with a trophy and scrolls, the latter issuant from a scaly dragon, the right fitted with matching carved sliding patchbox-cover, brass mounts comprising openwork side-plate decorated with scrolls, foliage, a monsterhead and a female profile, butt-plate decorated with a classical warrior beneath a canopy on the tang, escutcheon decorated with Diana the huntress, trigger-guard with elaborate scrollwork terminal and a mounted classical figure on the bow, rear ramrod-pipe en suite with the trigger-guard, two further faceted ramrod-pipes, and horn fore-end cap (later ramrod) 90.0 cm; 35 1/2 in barrel Johann Karl Qualleck of Vienna is recorded 19th April 1722.
