A Mixed Lot comprising: a Table Cigarette Box, of square form with hinged cover, initialled; together with a Christening Mug of tapering cylindrical form, with applied rim and handle and raised on a spreading circular foot; and a two-handled Trophy Cup, of circular form with spreading circular foot, various dates and makers (3)
A cased set of six butter knifes with Hanoverian style handles and personally engraved, hallmarked Sheffield 1934 and 1935, sponsors mark reads C.W.F. Together with a small engraved trophy, height measures 3 3/4ins (9.5cm), hallmarked Birmingham 1936, an embossed brush and two napkin rings hallmarked Birmingham 1909 and Chester 1926. All items have general scratches, marks and small dints here and there, small spots of tarnishing with more noticeable tarnishing to the napkin rings and trophy. There is some wear to the blades of the knifes from use. One of the napkin rings has a engraved monogram. The trophy is engraved 'Bloxwich Golf Club the Grace Turner Bowl 1935 H.M.Sellars'.
A late 19th century French side cabinet, with ormolu mounts, the replaced marble top with canted corners, above a recess panel frieze with vitruvian scroll floral mounts above a pair of rectangular cupboard doors with inset marquetry panels depicting rustic scenes, in various woods to a stained burrwood ground and rosewood cross banding, enclosing a shelf, to canted angles, the quarter veneered sides in mahogany with ebonised stringing having ribbon tied trophy mounts, to a shaped apron on bracket feet, 40.75in (103cm) h, 47.25in (120cm) w, 16in (40.5cm) d. Both doors and both sides with cracks.
