Rees captained the Great Britain Ryder Cup team on five occasions, in 1955, 1957, 1959, 1961 and 1967. The most memorable was the 1957 event at Lindrick where Britain scored a decisive 7½â€“4½ victory to break the United States` stranglehold on the trophy they had held since 1933.

Helen Wills - collection of tennis photographs and prints - related to and her tennis career in the U.S.A. Forming the heart of the collection are 3x fine photographs by renowned writer and photographer Edwin Levick of New York who contributed work to the Chicago Tribune, New York Times and the New York Herald Tribune. All three show Wills in 1925, but the finest of them is one with her posed alongside Kathleen McKane receiving the trophy and flowers for her United States Singles Championship victory. A further photo shows the match in progress while the third shows her in action with Mary Kendall Browne against Colyer and McKane during the USA`s defeat by Great Britain in the Wightman Cup at Forest Hills that year. A further head and shoulders photo portrays Helen Wills Moody (with a new hair style!) n 1932 prior to her visit to Wimbledon. A press cutting showing photographs of Wills at practice in 1924 is also included and an Edwin Trim postcard (T15) of her at Wimbledon dated 1935.
A fine 1992 Tennis Trophy in original case – presented to the winning finalists of The 30th Federation Cup held on the red clay courts of the Waldstadion Tennis Club Frankfurt from July 12th-19th. Won by Germany (Team - Steffi Graf, Anke Huber, Barbara Rittner) who beat Spain in the final – c/w the purpose-made, red velvet and padded silk -lined case (26x 28 x 35 cms.) is blind-stamped `NEC ITF THE FEDERATION CUP` c/w fitted handle. Note: This huge silver-plated trophy would have been presented to one of the players in the winning team and is engraved with all the details of the tournament.
1957 FA Cup Final Linesman 9ct Gold Football Association and Silver Referee`s Association Medal: Played at Wembley Aston Villa v Manchester United (Busby Babes) Both Medals named to K G Aston Linesman (9ct Medal 11g) (2) Note: The 1957 FA Cup Final was a football match played on 4 May 1957 at Wembley Stadium. The match was contested by Aston Villa and Manchester United. Villa won 2–1, with both of their goals scored by Peter McParland. Tommy Taylor got United`s goal. The final was marred by a collision after only six minutes between Villa forward Peter McParland and United goalkeeper Ray Wood, which left Wood unconscious with a broken cheekbone. Wood left the pitch and Jackie Blanchflower took over in goal for United. Wood eventually rejoined the game in an outfield position as a virtual passenger before returning to goal for the last seven minutes of the game. It was Villa`s first major trophy for 37 years.

Takhoor Saheb of Bhownuggur Kattywak Race Meeting January. 1869. Won By`. Bhaunagar, or Bhavnagar, was a native state of India in the Kathiawar agency, Bombay. The maharajah or Takur Sahib from 1854 to 1870 was Sir Jashwantsinhji Bhavsinhji (1827-1870) of the famous clan of the Gohel Rajputs of Kathiawar.
