The Bijouterie Cabinet - A small collection of silver and white metal items, to include a mini-magnifier, miniature trophy, silver and niello decorated bracelet, brooch and pendant, cigar piercer, scissors, miniature button hook, propelling pencil and wax seal. CONDITION REPORT: One very fine silver necklace has knotted with another otherwise the remainder of the jewellery is in good order with no obvious faults. There is a small wax seal within this lot that has small edge chips.

Together with a silver cigarette box engraved "Lieutenant J.A. Peel, R.A. from the Officers of 49 Field Regiment Royal Artillery on the occasion of his marriage 20th July 1957", together with a further silver metal mounted trophy ornament inscribed "Major J.A. Peel MC RA from the commandant and Officers Royal School of Artillery 1988". CONDITION REPORT: The medals were awarded under the reign of Elizabeth II. There are no engraved names on the rims. There is no date on the reverse of the Military Cross.

A late 18th century continental hunting sword, straight fullered blade 18½", DE at tip, with maker's initials "K&S" on one side at forte and "Solingen" on the other, and etched with leaping deer, spear and foliate devices for half length, brass crossguard with trophy of horn and weapons in panel on one side, acorn finials, fluted darkwood grip, swollen to matching fluted brass pommel and stud. GC (some wear and edge nicks towards point).

Alcock & Co and date January 1 1855, with diamond registration mark for December 1854; height 8", VGC apart from hairline cracks in base, only visible from inside.

Acanthus-capped flying scroll handles, knopped stem, spreading circular foot, 21.5cm high. Fully hallmarked for Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1919.

Lot 63

Superb solid silver trophy for Leyburn Golf Clubs Challenge Cup trophy presented to the club in 1896. The Cup was won twice in 1912 and 1913 by William Tweddell who went on to win the Amateur Championship in 1927. The Cup was won in 1924, 1926 and 1927 by William Tweddells brother R Tweddell. E Rowntree won the cup in 1909 and became the clubs professional 1913-16. The trophy is hallmarked London 1896-97 and maker DW JW for Daniel and John Wellby. Very good condition.
